Jumin stared at the huge three-story house where Parker parked at unfazed from inside the car. He turned towards Parker and pointed his thumb at the house. "Is this where they live?" Jumin asked.
Parker didn't respond. Instead, he was stared at the steering wheel lost in thought. Jumin snapped his fingers in front of Parker's face and Parker whipped his head towards Jumin startled. "J-Jumin? You scared me," Parker laughed.
Jumin noticed that Parker's laugh sounded more forced than usual and that made him feel more concerned. He glanced back at the house and turned to Parker explaining why he was so focused.
"I feel like he's hiding something from me," Jumin thought.
"Make him confess for his sins!" Kyung yelled.
"Don't!" Min shouted.
"So that what I was thinking about," Parker smiled after he finished his rant.
Jumin shook his head and sighed. "I know that it may have something to do with your family, Park." Jumin looked back at Parker's surprised expression. "If you want to talk about it, you can talk to me anytime. I won't force you to tell things you're uncomfortable to talk about," he smiled and opened the car door. He looked at his phone and saw that it was almost 3 PM. "When do we have to leave?"
"At five," Parker whispered, still dazed about what Jumin said to him.
"We better hurry then if you want to."
"Jumin, do you want to watch a movie with me later?" Parker asked, praying internally that he'll say yes.
"A movie?" Jumin repeated as they walked to the front door. "Wouldn't you rather, like, play one of your games?"
"Yeah," Parker mumbled. "But I want to do something that you also like. Because every time I'm playing, you have nothing to do except watching me."
"I find it entertaining," he replied. "Your comments are amusing and it's funny to see you get mad."
"You can watch twitch streamers if you like that content." Parker grabbed his phone and showed it to him. "There are also some people who do it on YouTube, but almost all the good ones are on twitch."
Jumin watched a guy talking about how much he hates Dr. Pepper while he was opening a two-liter bottle to drink. "So like that," he muttered and looked back up at Parker. "Why don't you do something like this?" He asked, referring to streaming.
Parker furrowed his eyebrows out of confusion. "I've never thought about that," Parker whispered.
The door opened in front of them and Tessa glared at them. "How long were you two planning to stand outside?" She grabbed them by the coats and pulled them inside. She crossed her arms and looked up at Parker. "You even said that you want to leave on time and yet you keep wasting time outside."
"Sorry, sorry," Parker grinned, feeling a little guilty. He and Jumin put their coats on the rack and they took off their shoes. "You're sure that she won't be back till evening, right?"
Tessa nodded and they walked to her room. "Yes. She has to meet with a client of her but dad will be back in like three hours."
"Oh, yeah... Mark," Parker whispered. "I almost forgot about him."
Jumin slightly frowned when he heard him as Tessa looked back at them with her hand on the door. "Hm? What did you say?"
"It's nothing," Parker smiled.
Tessa raised her eyebrow and opened the door of her room. "Just sit anywhere."
When Parker heard that, he walked to the bed and let himself fall on it face first. Tessa and Jumin stared at him trying to adjust his legs so his feet won't dangle anymore.
"This bed is so small," Parker complained as he turned around to lie on his side.
"That's a personal problem, dude," Tessa replied and sat at her desk.
Jumin watched her put her glove on as her drawing tablet was starting up. He turned to Parker who had a silly grin on his face.
Parker sat up and patted the space next to him. "Come sit next to me. I left this space open especially for you," he smirked as he wiggled his eyebrows.
"Cringe, bro," Tessa commented.
"Shut up," Parker replied with a glare. His face lit up when he saw Jumin walking to him.
Jumin sat down and looked back at Tessa who was already sketching. "So, can you explain to me why you need us?"
"If you two just sit there and continue talking, it'd be perfect," she replied.
Parker and Jumin glanced at each other and looked back at Tessa. "But what's the context?"
"I have to draw two people who are in love." Tessa giggled when she saw Jumin's shocked face and Parker's confused expression. "Just kidding."
Jumin sighed and Parker frowned. "Us? Together? No way... unless?" Parker thought about how it'd be if they were and felt satisfied for some reason. He shook his head. "He'd think that that'd be weird."
"My teacher gave my class the task to draw two people together. My parents aren't home a lot, so you two were the next option," Tessa explained. "Our teacher only said to us that it has to be someone that you already know, they have to look happy, blah, blah, blah, and more shit. I forgot after he told us what to do."
"And you just want us to sit here?" Jumin asked.
"Basically," she replied. "I'll start with a topic. How was your vacation?"
"Nothing much happened," Jumin answered. "I wanted to go out with Parker, but he was inside the whole time."
"Really?!"
"Yes." He glanced at Parker who grinned sheepishly at him. "He was playing games the whole time and we only talked on the phone when he wasn't busy playing on his phone."
"I barely played Persona though!" Parker argued. "And I was busy grinding Animal Crossing. I'm getting closer and closer to three stars. I'll show it to you later when we get home. And I was trying to get my hands onto Nocturne since it's releasing next week in Japan. I wonder if Yukine knows that game."
"I'll let it slide for now then," Jumin warned. "But, do you still talk to Yukine?"
Parker rubbed his chin. "Yeah, sometimes. Most of the time, I talk to her to practice my fluency and to see if I make mistakes since she's one of my Japanese friends who I know personally. And we also share the same interests which are-"
The door of Tessa's room burst open and everyone turned at the entrance with wide eyes.
Jumin watched the middle-aged woman smiled at them as she put her phone in her purse. Jumin turned towards Parker and saw a worried expression.
"Good afternoon," the woman smiled.
Parker forced a smile. "Hi, mom."
