HI there, people. This isn't Xae or Abel, or Demitree. This is Akoni. It is very unlikely that I will be talking to you again, so enjoy this.
Xae, Demi, and me are all sitting in the living room. Demitree's living room. this is like our second home though, so it doesn't matter. We're just chilling, hanging out. It's Sunday, so Xae only works at the Bakery today. The two stooges are playing a stupid video game with Xae loosing miserably. Mr. Smith (Demi's dad) was in the kitchen making lunch. we were all gonna go have a nice picnic before Xae goes to work. Us three, anyway. Then, we were gonna go antagonize him while he deals with peoples bullshit.
This is a nice day. it always is whenever it's just three. It's only been us since I can remember. Of course Demi has his family, but I kind of assumed that we were part o that now. Besides, we protect him from things his parents can't. Like bully's. Xae has gotten into at least 20 fights for us. He's pretty tough, but screwed up. He seems happy, but really, his mind is ruined. He's been raped, beaten, broken, and ripped to pieces, but he can still do all this stuff, and it's impressive, but sad. He never asks for help, and I'm worried for him. I know he'll make it, though. He's a Naga, after all. We can be assholes, but we got tough skin. And we're reliable.
"Food's done!" Mr. Smith sounds much too happy to be dealing with us. Demi and Xae race to the kitchen, falling and shoving multiple times on the way there. By the time I get there, they have already started throwing things into a backpack. I start helping, setting thing in gently unlike these two. they're so clumsy and careless.
"Where are you guys going again?" Mr. Smith is watching with an amused smile as we push each other around and get ready.
"Just up by the old treehouse!" Xae tucks the grapes in, zipping up the backpack, and tossing it to Demi. Mr. Smith nods, handing me the blanket.
"Alright. Are you kids staying the night?"
"Probably,"
"Ok. Don't get back too late, boys. Your mother probably wants to speak with you," We all nod, heading towards the door. HE says mother, but it's really just Demi's mom.

We are sitting on top of the hill, where the cluster of willow trees sit. In the center, there's this big oak, where our treehouse is. We didn't make it, we just found it. It was already built and waiting for us. It was like our sanctuary. It still is in ways, but we visit less. We have everything all laid out, already munching on different varieties of fruit. No words. We find it easier to tolerate each other for so long when we don't talk much. We're almost done eating, so Xae just lays down in the grass. Demi and I follow suit rather quickly.
"Are you ok, Xae?" Demi has been worried sick since the whole drama at school. I'm not. I know who did it, and I know that our S.S. agent is coming next week.
"Probably not. Doesn't really matter though, cause I will be," He always answers like that, and it always works.
Demi reaches out, grabbing both of our hands. I can feel his worry. He's sad. And angry.
"Gay," Xae snorts, rolling his eyes. Demi and him falling into a long fit if laughter. We eventually leave, heading to Xae's work.
