Kounna wasted no time sightseeing. He directly went to the chupacabra infested building. The entire building looked abandoned. From afar you could smell the dried blood and other foul odors. There are walls and windows that are weathered and shattered. Just even looking at the building would give anyone second thoughts. As he got closer he could see that there's a ten foot tall gate. It was a mixture of steel and wood. You could see that this was a rushed job. The gate and its spiked top is filled with rust, the metal was improperly welded together. The wood bared nailed in all the way.
The fence was closed with no door. He got closer to it and saw different notices from the government to stay away from the place. He saw some posters saying it's under closed quarantine. Some said it's infected. But there's also graffiti, like the once teenagers would do. They tagged it with demon dogs inside, or chupacabra on the loose. Regardless of the notices Kounna ignored them. He circled through the entire place and saw one of the fences not connected to each other that gave a small opening. He pulled one of the fences to give him a wider opening. As he struggled to pull an elf called him out.
"That's a restricted area. The mayor said no one can go in or out of there." The elf said. As he looked at Kounna while holding his bouquet of flowers
Kounna pulled out his phone with the job detail. "I'm pest control. Get out of here before things get messy."
"I'll have to give this first. It's for my sister. She used to live here with her boyfriend. But then the chupacabra arrived." They put down the flowers.
"I'm sorry for your loss."
"Are you one of them who wants to kill the monster?"
"Yes. Do you know what floor the chupacabra is resting?" He asked.
"Probably on the fifth or sixth. If you think you can kill the thing you can stop and go home"
Kounna ignored the elf and proceeded to enter the place. As he walked in towards the entrance he saw the glass doors were shattered. The fact that chupacabras are territorial means that Kounna can rest easily moving from the first to fourth floor. As he walked every hallway he could see bones of the devoured tenants. The smell was nauseating but he's used to it. As he reached the fourth floor his pace changed, not only because he's near the floor where the chupacabra is but also he saw a few fresh bones on the ground. He cautiously approached the pile of bones. He inspected it and saw it was an elf with its weapons and grenades. Kounna was about to ignore the body when he saw the wallet which was filled with money. He knows it's wrong but who was there to scold him?
As he continued to loot the dead he heard a few glass cracking. Then a soft growl behind him. He knew that it was the chupacabra stalking him, it was the size of a fully grown wolf. He placed his hand on his holster, took the gun and waited for the beast to come closer. As it came he swiveled his body towards the beast and opened fire. He left about three shots which the chupacabra just casually dodge. He cursed under his breath as the beast charged at his face. He blocked its mouth with his forearm guard. The force of the charge sent both of them on the floor. The chupacabra kept its mouth on Kounna's arm while trying his best to scratch him. Kounna used his free arm to pummel the beast into letting go. But both of them are stubborn. Kounna wanted to get his sword but since he's pinned down he was put in a position that it's difficult for him to unsheathe his sword.
Instead of the sword he grabbed his grapple gun. He blindly aimed it at something. It hooked, without second thoughts he pulled his grapple dragging along what it hooked. It was a piece of door frame. It flew towards them. It hit the chupacabra which made it pause momentarily. Kounna used that time to grapple away from the chupacabra. He was standing into one of the rooms. The beast stood shook itself and looked at Kounna. It growled in anger and so did Kounna. Kounna took out his sword. The beast lunged at him. He swung his sword but the beast dodged and bit on his weapon holding arm. Both struggled to inflict their enemy pain. Kounna changed his grip into a reverse grip and stabbed at the beast. The blade pierced on its flesh. The pain made it bite down on Kounna harder. The force of its bite penetrated his forearm guard. Both of them roared in pain.
Kounna slammed the chupacabra against the wall. He then punched at it. The chupacabra tried to scratch his hunter's eye out but Kounna quickly blocked it with his arm. That attack made Kounna step back. He looked at the chupacabra. It was panting and so was he. If his gun wasn't knocked out earlier this could've been done in less than a minute but now it feels like he's wrestling with a bear. Kounna observed his surroundings. He noticed the pile of bones, particularly the grenade.
Kounna dashed after the grenade. The chupacabra followed after him. Kounna grabbed the grenades. The beast then jumped at him. Kounna turned purposefully, letting the beast bite his arm. He then took the pins of the grenade and shoved it on the chupacabra's mouth. Kounna took the sword out of the beast which made it move back in pain. Kounna approached the beast put in on a submissive hold. He then used his grapple gun to hook on the near wall and used the wire to tie the beast's mouth. He released the wire and himself and moved just in time for the chupacabra's innards to outnards.
Kounna paused for a while. Panting he looked at the mess he made. He wiped himself clean of any thing that came from the chupacabra. As he rested his head he heard an even larger growl than before. He turned his head to find a bigger chupacabra. Kounna let off a deep sigh.
"You must be the mother?" He asked the larger beast.
