The mother chupacabra walked towards Kounna. He has a good look at the beast. It was thrice as big as the one he killed. It only patches of fur on the paws, back , and tail, and the exposed part is a leathery skin. The face resembled a wolf with the skeletal structure of a ram. She opened her mouth slightly revealing a total of six canine teeth.

She growled at the one who murdered her cub. Kounna stood up and let out a big sigh. The mother suddenly started to walk, she walked past Kounna's sword. Kounna fired the grapple gun at his sword, he fired the return trigger that pulled the sword towards him. The sword hit the monster. Kounna released his finger from the trigger which made the wire stop. As he did that he used his other arm to pull the wire sideways which made the sword swing at the monster as it flew back at him. With two slashes in, Kounna decided to make the grapple sword combo into a makeshift whip.

He continued to whip at the monster. He made a few good hits in until the chupacabra decided to charge in. Kounna pulled in his sword, holstered his grapple gun. The chupacabra release a flurry of slashes. Kounna dodged them all. But one of the hits got it. His balance was off so instead of just being scratched up he was placed in a firm grip by the monster. He was then slammed back and forth from the window to the wall. He was like an action figure being manhandled. Kounna put his sword in a reverse grip and stabbed the paws of the monster.

The monster removed her grip. Kounna stepped back and moved in a piercing stance. The monster saw this and slashed away the sword and moved to maul her victim. Kounna quickly used his arm to defend himself. With the monster locked at him he pushed the monster to the window. His plan was to bash the monster until the window breaking and letting the monster fall. But that would've worked if he was still dealing with the cub.

The chupacabra threw him violently inside another apartment room. Kounna landed near the kitchen. He looked up the kitchen sink and saw a knife set. As the monster walked towards Kounna, he took the knife set and started throwing pairs of knives at the monster. The first two didn't hit. But the next one hit, one on the face and one near the eye. He was lucky because that knife got near the eye and hit a nerve. The wound bled to the monster's eye. It forced the monster to close her eye to prevent further blood. The chupacabra was pissed and she charged at Kounna. He stood still with the intention of catching the monster with hundred cuts. But as he looked at his knife he saw that it was the smallest one left. It was too late for him to run. The chupacabra was on top of him.

He used his undamaged arm guard to protect himself. He also used his force to move the monster's head to the direction where her open up is facing him. With his small knife he stabbed the monster in the eye multiple times. The chupacabra was blinded. In pain she bit Kounna in the shoulder. The bite would've removed his arms but the shoulder armor stopped it. The chupacabra dragged him around like a ragdoll and flung him further away. He landed this time on the fridge.

The chupacabra now blind is only guided by the sense of smell. Kounna opened the fridge and saw a rotting pork. He took it out and threw it past the chupacabra. The monster smelt it and followed. Kounna saw his gun at the exit. He made a break for his gun. As he moved past the chupacabra it recognized him and gave chase. Kounna took his gun and fired at the monster charging at him. He fired about two shots but the monster only felt a little. So he looked at the window and fired the last shot at it. He waited for the monster to hit him.

As the monster hit him the impact shattered the glass. They both fell down. Kounna managed to be on top of the monster and kicked him down to the spikes on the fence. Kounna used his grapple gun to save himself from the fall. The monster landed and got impaled on the spikes. Kounna grappled back on the building. He collected his swords as well as what remained of the little chupacabra. In this case only the leg. He took it and inspected the remains of the elf. He found a healing paper. He took some and applied it on his shoulder. It burned his wound then started to heal it. Kounna decided to keep the remaining paper and thanked the pile of bones.

He repelled down to the impaled chupacabra. He saw that it was still alive. He groaned at the inconvenience. Then he held the front and hind legs of the monster and pulled it down further in the spikes effectively killing it. As the monster died he pulled it out to remove the carcass. From his back pouch he pulled a rope and tied the carcass and began to drag it out. As he got out he saw the elf who was mourning earlier. They exchanged glances and Kounna moved on. He decided to walk towards the capitol. It took a few minutes to reach there. As he walked the people around him either looked angry or disgusted. But as soon as they saw the chupacabra he's dragging they either looked scared or in horror.

The moment he reached the capitol the mayor and few press people were waiting for him. The mayor walked towards Kounna and he also ordered the media to follow him.

"Citizens may I introduce to you the one who slain the monster. Kounna Swerte" he announced as he grabbed Kounna's arm.

Kounna groaned. "Word travels fast." He said to the mayor.

"Well when you are a human dragging a carcass of a monster it sure does" The mayor replied. "And I have a man that notified me the moment it was over."

"The elf. Pretty clever"

He then looked at the press. "As with my agreement to Kounna I will pay him the reward I have offered to so many before him."

The mayor was given a phone by one of his bodyguards. The initiated a money transfer. Kounna received the payment. As he walked out the mayor spoke.

"And as our tradition as dwarves, to give back a gift for a favor done to us. I will personally create a charm using the monster's teeth to be used by the one who bested it."

The mayor rolled up his sleeve and put on gloves. He was then given a pliers by one of his guards. He ducked down at the chupacabra and pulled out his tooth. The mayor was given a few materials. It took only a minute before the mayor made a necklace with the teeth as the pendant. The mayor then chanted a little prayer that filled the teeth with dwarf text. As it was finished he offered it to Kounna.

"You have slain a quick predator, with that I have made a charm that'll give you its speed in times when you need it" The mayor said directly to him.

"Thanks. I guess." Kounna took the necklace and put it on. He then walked out.
