Elina shakes her head trying to forget the dozen questions she has about Neto and instead tries to focus on herself. What is she and where did she get her powers from.
Neto slowly raises his hand from the dagger to the bag, the dust within her handle follows his motion. The shinning black grains drift from the golden chamber to the dark abyss of his bag. The final remnants float in and he quickly pulls the draw string placing the bag back onto his hip. He then turns the dagger back into a choker.
"Well it has been fun Elina but I must leave now." He begins to stand up. "Maybe we'll do this again in a year."
"Wait!" She says reaching over the table to grab his coat.
Before she can even lay a finger on him, he grabs her wrist with a gloved hand and sits back down. "What is it now?" He asks with a scowl.
She meets his eyes with a look of her own. "I want to know what I am?" She scowls.
He places a hand on her own. "That I still do not know, but I have a very good hypothesis."
They are silent as Elina waits for an answer. "Well?" She asks pulling her wrist from his hands.
He glances around then smiles. "That will be revealed once I know for sure."
She snarls just about ready to punch this man she has vaguely known for ten years.
"B-but," He says lifting both hands in defense. "You are more than likely something like me."
She fixes her frown and gives an expression of confusion. "A wisp hunter?"
He chuckles. "I have told you what I am."
"Yes," She sighs. "Something called an Iris. You help keep the manifestation of dark human emotions in check."
He gives her a pat on the head and stands up once again. "That's right and the only reason why I had initially approached you in the first place was because I thought you may be a threat to an Iris but you are obviously not." He watches her expression turn from confusion to a nonchalant facade. "Now darling, don't pout about us being apart for another year."
She cringes. "I am not pouting."
He nods his head and picks up his hat as he ignores her. "Yes, yes." He pauses. "By the way has anyone like me ever approached you?"
She shakes her head no at the question he asks every time he sees her.
"Good," He smiles putting on his hat. "You know what to do if one does?"
She nods her head annoyed with the way he always treated her like a child. "Feed a wisp to a wisp and let it run free." She mumbles.
He gives an unpleasant smile. "That's a good girl, now until next time Ms. Elina."
She lets out another sigh and turns her attention to the window knowing very well that if she were to come across an Iris like Neto she would most definitely not tell him. Maybe another Iris would actually help her. She still questions just who he is and the lack of information he gave her. Like he was sheltering a little animal he wanted to keep to himself. She hated it.
