Volume 1: The Great Unveiling
“James Barderson is a very rich man living in the city of Leroy, Nevada, which is the very dusty, mountainous city that lies in the outskirts of Carson City. He lives with his beautiful wife Melissa in the outskirts of the city in a rich gated neighborhood, being one of the newer prominent scientists...
1. “James honey! I have some great news for you.”
“What could it be at such a late time, it is three in the morning?”
“James…" Melissa comes out of the bathroom smiling, "I’m pregnant.”
James immediately lightens up, putting the brightest smile on his face as he hugs her tightly saying, "that’s amazing, darling, we will tell everyone tomorrow.”
Then a few days after Melissa finds out about her pregnancy, coming home from work, as a model one of their maids comes up to Melissa and says to her, “Mrs. Barderson, sorry to bother, but a man by the name of Jinn Marshon has called earlier, wanting to speak with James.”
“Jinn? Oh yes, he is a great friend of James, I'll let James know that he called.” The maid nods to her and then walks away after.
Later that night, the man, Jinn Marshon, comes over. When the maids invite him in, the house is seen of four long hallways on each corner, as if leading to the most mysterious places was made from those historic looking brown hallways, filled with paintings of countless strange people, all with the same soulless eyes, staring right at you as you walk down each hall.
But this Jinn Marshon loved it, he fits in with every hall and painting as he endorses himself in his suave attire.
“Hello James, it’s nice to see you again, it’s been a long time.” Jinn says to him while walking over to James and shaking his hand.
“Oh it has, too long actually, now please come in, sit in our dining room, we just had it remodeled.” James says, keeping an intriguing smile on his face.
“Very nice, I’m loving this historic look and how it blends with our modern times.”
“Yes, very ageless.” James adds, watching Jinn stare down every part of the house that’s in his view.
Jinn turns his head to James as James continues saying, “especially with a child on the way.”
Jinn lets out the kind of smirk to make anyways heart flutter, “that's a blessing, and also Mrs. Barderson, congratulations on the child coming to you, you deserve one in such a house like this.”
“We can fit about twenty in here.” Melissa says, greeting him and smiling at her own words.
They all start laughing together afterwards, then Jinn replies with, “something strange might happen though, who knows, right?”
“Uh, yes.” Melissa replies.
“Hm...” Jinn lets out.
Their butler brings in red wine for them so that Jinn and James can have a drink.
“Mm…I believe in the basement that I have something we can do to go with this lovely evening, I’ll get it myself, it is too great to be touched by regular hands, besides you guys of course, I’ll be back.” James says, happy about his riches as always.
“Go right ahead.” Jinn casually says to him, looking right towards Melissa as soon as he leaves.
Melissa starts to rub her belly as she walks towards the stairs, waiting for James, but Jinn walks over to her, holding his red wine in his hand saying to her, “you know Melissa, my wife, Maylin, has been very sick lately, and her stomach has been hurting her a lot.”
“Oh my, I hope she feels better.”
“Yes, but as a well-practiced doctor myself, for her sake and even my one year old son, Xavier, I am going to open a program and call it The Blossoming Program, so they can blossom on to a good life when their treatments from the Arkemia are finally over.”
“That sounds very nice, Jinn, I’m sure the ‘higher ones’ will approve.”
He smirks at her saying this, then he says, “they already have.”
As if hesitating to answer him, Melissa instead just nods her head, saying, “that’s great, Jinn.”
“Here let me rub your belly, I’ll show you so that James can do the same for you.”
“Oh no, you don’t have too.”
“No, it’s my pleasure, practice makes perfect, always.”
Jinn rubs her belly while looking her in the eyes with his bright gray ones.
Afterwards, James comes up from the basement, greeting him with two golf clubs, saying, “my favorite activity, here come join me.”
“Sure,” then as Jinn says this, James turns to Melissa saying, ”we’ll be back, Melissa.”
“Have fun you two.” Melissa says as she continues to rub her belly.
About a month later, after coming home from work, Melissa starts feeling ill and faint, barely able to walk, she comes in with help from her three maids, but she collapses anyways.
“Help me up!” She says, breathing heavy in large amounts of pain.
“Oh my, you need to see a doctor.” One of the maids says.
“No, I’ll wait until James gets home.” And by the time he does, Melissa starts throwing up violently, so James takes her to the hospital, only to find out that Melissa has had a miscarriage.
Completely upset and devastated, for a year the both didn’t even bother trying again for a baby, only to find out that Melissa has become completely barren, unable to produce more children.
Until, Jinn Marshon mentions adoption, since they are filthy rich and can afford, so they do.
Almost a year after they adopt eight different kids from people they know.
Naming them Arrow, Astrid, Victor, Valencia, Maximus, Melodie, Celsius, and Cora.
From the oldest to the youngest, all one year apart from each other. This time now, the tragic event of the Bardersons has led from one to the other.
