After the house was destroyed, Rodger revealed that, ever since Helen became pregnant, he'd been saving up to move to Hawaii or someplace like it. Helen had a small idea of it, but she had assumed it was for a vacation. So, Helen and Rodger talked it over and it was settled.
They were moving to the Bahamas.
DATE: September 12, 2010
PLACE: Airport in Tampa
"Okay, Julie. Are you ready?" Helen asked her daughter as they walked towards the gate.
Julie took a deep breath. "Yeah."
They boarded the plane, Helen and Julie together, Rodger right in front of them. Julie was scared; she had never flown before. She kept a tight grip on her mother's hand as the plane took off.
They landed two hours later. Julie was airsick and immediately threw up in a large wooden trash can.
As Helen looked for a ride on Uber, which she had only just downloaded because it was released the previous year, a large dark man stormed towards Rodger and Julie.
"Excuse me, but your kid just barfed in my drum!" he said. Both Julie and Rodger were confused, until Julie looked at his drum and realized it.
It wasn't a wooden trash can.
It was a bongo.
