Thank you for reading.
It just hit me, how can you have a painting in your collection of recent date, too soon for the author to die of natural causes, and not know the author?
How would you know what date it's from? Is 2010 just when they got it? How would you aquire this thing through legitimate enough means to confidentely display it?
I may just not know what I'm talking about, but to me this "unknown author" seems somewhat fishy of the painting because of the date. If it were a historical find, it'd seem normal.
Art is in the eyes of the beholder. Beautiful to some. Ugly to others. Inscrutable to many. Appreciated by all. For Katerina, art is her livelihood, her passion. Her love. But stare too deeply into the abyss of the things you love and you just might find it staring back at you.
