I was just standing against the wall near the bathrooms, eating a chili dog from the cafeteria. I take a bite, and sauce and beans fall on my new Thrasher hoodie. I curse to myself as I try to wipe it off with my sleeve and only succeed in smearing it. I sigh and finish off my chili dog, then take off my hoodie and wrap it around my waist. My quiet orange shirt looks good in the artificial light, I realize. 

That's when I hear someone say, "Be right back, Muffin." and then footsteps towards me. I follow the voice with my eyes and see an almost attractive boy, staring down at his phone. Suddenly, I'm paralyzed. He's not gonna go through the door, he's gonna hit me!

I hold my breath as he approaches, then he looks up right before he runs into me. I'm clutching the wall in a sort of backwards hug, and my feet are digging into the linoleum floor.

"Oh- S-sorry, bro. Or, sis? Dudette? Shit, sorry," he stammers. I slowly release the wall and proceed to not speak. My arm does do a small 'hi' wave, and he smiles. It's a sweet smile. Adorable...
