Oh how wrong I was…

„Cool! I am really Happy that you want to meat again. So what is about Thursday? Are you free on Thursday? We can meet in a cafe.“

Al’s English were always so natural that it kind of shocked me to hear him say „Cool“ with a accent. It was a cute accent, that made me giggle.

„What?“ Al asked confused and nervous in reply to my giggle.

Without my permission my mouth opened and answered him.

„You said Cool with a accent! I always thought you’re native language were English?“

„Oh sorry. -krrz- I guess not my parents are actually German. But my English is good because -krrz- moved into the states when I was 12.“

The quality of the call became bad but I still could understand him. So I was right. What they spoke were German. I know I shouldn’t ask but my curiosity forced her way out of me.

„So the Girl you were with on the day we first meet is she your sister or something?“

„Nah she’s -krrz-“

„What?“ I asked tense, ready to fight anyone in the world.

„She’s -krrz- …Girlfriend.“ He said.

… For a moment my heart stood still. Did he say Girlfriend right now? What the fuck?! He did kiss me didn’t he? So he’s cheating? On his Girlfriend? With me??? Shit! Ok. Calm down Kai. There have to be a logical explanation for this. Maybe they were in an Open Relationship. Or maybe -and by that thought my heart skipped a beat- she wasn’t even his Girlfriend. That’s right! The connection was shitty maybe he said something else. Or I just misheard. No need to panic. This confirmed nothing. Right. Get a hold of yourself Kai it’s none of your business. At least if he didn’t cheat with you. He wouldn’t do that. Right? I felt sick. Actually I couldn’t even say that for sure. I know nothing about him. Shit. What did I do? What am I doing? Waiting desperately for a confirmation that some Guy I barley know doesn’t have a Girlfriend and go against all my principles? That’s pathetic.

I hung up. I should just forget that that happened. I can find something else for Yasmin and just stay at home on Thursday.
