5. James walks over to his butler saying, "make all of us some cups of tea, would you please?"
Frederick nods and walks back into the kitchen while James turns back towards them saying, "all of you have a seat, this is about to be the most important talk of your entire lives."
They all look at each other with the same thought, even though Celsius still seems to be freaking out to himself.
Then James himself takes a seat, sitting comfortably across from them with Melissa as they have the fireplace scorching in the background, giving an ambient feel to the room, especially since no words are being spoken at the moment.
But, he looks vaguely at them, tapping a pen on the coffee table next to him, as it must have been sitting there.
Melissa touches his arm saying, "he'll be here with the drinks, don't rush him."
He grins, with his head sitting down towards their red fur rug beneath them, with Melissa looking over to see if the tea is ready or whatnot.
Arrow suddenly blurts out though, "you know you can still talk even without a teacup beside you? I'm not sure if you guys have all night."
They all look to Arrow with Astrid trying to hold in a laugh it seems.
"You guys can only speak when I say you can speak, don't make me tell you again."
"My bad then, father." Arrow says, sitting in the same strict position of James, almost mocking him.
Before saying anything else, Frederick and their maid Shelly bring over their drinks. Placing it beside each of them, James gestures for them to drink first, before him and Melissa take their long sophisticated sip.
And placing it firmly on a coaster beside him, he puts his right leg over his left and begins to speak with a strict tone of voice, "so, I know I said that I'm going to introduce all of you to the Blossoming Program, but, how about you guys tell us exactly what has befallen upon your already cursed power, by that, I mean what is your strange abilities you guys were facing as we were gone, go on, tell us now, this could be something that the whole city could be facing and might even make our jobs at the LRX even harder."
He begins to take another sip of his tea, gesturing for Arrow to speak first.
Arrow doesn't shift in his seat, nor hesitate to say, "I just found out that I have the ability of feel people's thoughts and feelings, some would say, as of right now, you're pretty angry with us, even though we are forced to learn and live with what we have for a still unknown cause that you and the LRX are still desperately trying to find out and learn yourselves, it's tiring you freely, I can tell, even from across you."
Arrow then sits back and sips tea just like James. Causing James to immediately put it down, sort of offended, he gestures for Astrid to speak.
Almost falling asleep, James shouts at her, "Astrid!" She gasps in embarrassment saying, "oh, sorry, um, we are talking about our powers right? Well...Mine is definitely the worst because I have purple liquid coming out of me and it can even take the shape of anything!"
"Purple liquid? Shapeshifting?" James says shocked, meanwhile Melissa sits quietly as she watches them.
"Yes, I can turn into almost anything...I turned into a goo filled literal beast!"
"Any animal in particular?" James says.
She puts her hands up, "I guess it looked like a dog."
"Alright, Victor, your turn."
"Oh, I guess mine is agility and speed, I'm very fast, not track fast, but, you know, like Dash from The Incredible, you know, definitely not Flash like."
"Good."
He turns to Valencia, "Valencia?" He says, gesturing for her to speak.
"Mine is great flexibility, like I can fit into any space, no matter the size, like yesterday, I was able to go under my dresser, I scared maid Shelly so bad."
"Wait?" Astrid replies, "then why were you acting like this was all nothing if you transformed yourself yesterday?"
"Because Victor didn't agree."
"Of course..." Astrid replies, leaning back on the chair.
James snaps his finger for them to be quiet, as Melissa starts writing on a piece of paper, putting her glasses on and staying focused on what she's doing.
He gestures for Maximus to talk saying, "and what is it that you are experiencing."
"I can teleport, that's what I learned of myself." He says shyly.
"Okay, what about you Melodie, what is your power?"
"My power...?"
"Yes, Melodie, what are you experiencing other than your telekinesis?"
"I think I have the ability to control people with my telekinesis, I accidentally did with Celsius upstairs, but I was doing it just by talking."
"Hmm, alright, Celsius, you look the most dishuffled out of everyone, so, what is it that's making you feel that way." He says this then takes another sip of his tea.
Celsius keeps staring towards the foyer, kind of in shock, he briefly looks at James and Melissa, not even looking at his siblings at all, trying to say, "I can see spirits...But I can’t tell if it’s really a spirit or not." Softly.
"Celsius, speak up..." James says sternly.
Celsius sits up in his chair saying, "I'm seeing spirits, demons possibly, shadows, I don't know, but it's creepy..."
"And was telling him to sit still, and he did, with my powers it worked." Melodie blurts out.
Ignored it seems, James gets up and walks face to face with Celsius while kneeling down saying, "are you seeing spirits in this house very often?"
"Yes, I see it all the time, I just tried to ignore it, but...I came too close today."
James gets up saying, "If that's the case, this old house may have some history..."
Walking back to his chair, Melissa hands him the book she was writing in, with him saying to her, "good, you wrote them down, tomorrow we will take you guys to the Blossoming Program, and they will secretly test you guys to see what is really going on here, because this is the first case of superhuman ability we know of in the entire LRX, and this company is what started it, so, before I begin a short summary to the Blossoming Program, we need to figure out if Cora has any other power."
Cora lifts her head up, with Celsius holding her against him saying, "I'm sure she has something we can take advantage of," while smiling at her, a sudden change in personality greatly for him.
She looks at them with wide eyes, in wonder of what's happening it seems.
"Cora...Have you been experiencing any other symptoms lately." Melissa says in sign language.
Looking confused, Cora shrugs to them, with Arrow saying, "Cora seems very good with her art, but that doesn't make it a superpower know matter if she is six or not, other than that, she seems to be like the other kids who have telekinesis."
"I'm sure she has something else as well." Astrid ponders to them.
"You know, as adopted children, we...Are not all going to be the same, so, Cora probably just doesn't have any powers, and if she does, we'll just have to find out for ourselves." Maximus says.
“That does make sense, but out of all seven of us, why is Cora the only one who doesn’t have anything else?” Astrid questions, but right as she does, James gets up saying, "anyways though, now that we have this in our brains and minds forever, let me tell you the slogan of The Blossoming Program:
“Lately, during the late 1990’s and 2000’s, kids around the world were being diagnosed with a strange sickness, now known as Arkemia. The kids and teens were said to have unimaginable eye colors and a telekinetic ability. Nobody knows what is causing this, or where this sickness is coming from, so, all kinds of scientists, doctors, and nurses are trying to find out what is going on here. They say the first kids to get this came from Leroy, a city in Nevada, of course due to the failed science experiment in Antarctica. Some even say it was more than one kid or teen at a time. But, as we sit here today, it is our duties to find out where this strange sickness has truly come from, so, if you are a family who has children with this strange sickness, please bring them to the proud care of The Blossoming Program, where we will help your kid become a true and well cared citizen of the city, and the whole world.”
James stops within reading the slogan on paper, saying to them, "so, as we work with this company, we will easily bring you guys tomorrow to check up on you guys, and your strange new powers, because this...Can be bad if not treated correctly, so, our great friend, Jinn Marshon, is going to most likely working with you guys himself, hm, hopefully, he is the CEO of The Blossoming Program, but causally hangs around all of the Arkemia kids, so let's make sure you guys meet him, alright."
He gets up saying, "now off to bed, all of you!"
"Goodnight." Melissa says to them.
"Goodnight, mom and dad." They all say, except Arrow, who lingers behind as everyone runs upstairs to bed.
Melissa walks off to the kitchen, as James puts on his glasses, looking through the papers that Melissa wrote on. As he is writing on it now, Arrow stares at him deeply, with James eventually noticing Arrows deep red eyes piercing through him disturbingly, with James saying without looking at him, "I may not be your real father, or someone you personally don't want to love, but that doesn't matter, no matter who you see me as Arrow, you will respect me, got it?"
Arrow slowly smiles at him, putting the smile away as James turns back around to his papers, with Arrow walking away from him slowly when Victor comes downstairs saying, "Arrow, you coming?"
Victor immediately stops talking, seeing Arrow looking bothered and pissed. Arrow walks past Victor, going up the stairs, and closing his room door shut. Victor hesitates to ask James what happened, but, to further no trouble, he walks upstairs to his room.
