“Ian! Here!” Ephraim whispered in a slightly strong tone.

Ian turned his head and looked around, find where is Ephraim.

“Ian!” Ephraim whispered again. Now Ian has found Ephraim, sitting behind the car. Ephraim is holding a cup of tea, with a mouth full of sandwich which it’s half was held by his right hand.

“Come here. You haven’t ate anything since last night, right?” Ephraim looked at Ian. “Eat this.” He handed a little lunch box with two sandwiches in it.

That night was colder than the other night. Ian chuckled a little when he saw Ephraim shivered with his weird face. The wind blew through Ian’s face.

“This cold is nothing,” Ian thought.

Every last day of the week, Ian’s pack will go to the city ruins to find some junks and hunt some animals. This is a difficult thing to do for Ian because they have to do it in the middle of night, to avoid some troubles with the Supras who’d always mark their territory as they want.

They always work in silent and cautions. Ian felt that it’s so hard to be always on guard. But there’s nothing he can do again to survive this hard life.

Ian was born as an Omega, the rarest kind which even the males can give birth to children. Between the species, Omega should be caution with Alphas. Why? Alphas always have a cycle every once or twice a month. It happens every full moon. Whenever there’s a full moon, Alphas will release it’s mating instinct. Then, they need Omegas to fulfill their desires.

Omega had something like that too, that was called a heat cycle. Tho Ian has only had his heat twice-thrice, he still don’t really understand that thing. But the most important part, is, that if he have heat, it means that he’ll release something called pheromone.

Pheromones will attract Alphas, especially when it’s full moon.

Omegas are also rejected by lots of packs due to its heat cycles that could bring troubles to his pack, so Ian can only pretend to be a Beta, which is the safest kind who does not involve with the heats of Omega and the desires of Alpha.
