"So, Wins, wanna come over after school?" Mo asked as we head to geography, our last period.
"Sure!" I say, probably too fast. I've never been to a friend's house, mainly because I've never had a real friend. "But, I have to get something from my house first."
Mo nods. "'Kay! I'll go with you, meet your family and all that."
I smile and lean against Mo's oddly strong shoulders.

When the bus stops at my house, Mo and I both get off. Turns out, our houses aren't far from each other.
I walk in, calling, "I'm home! And I brought a friend!"
Ippen, my little brother, runs in. "Woah! Hiya! I'm Ippen!" he says, hugging Mo's leg. Mo leans down.
"I'm Mo." Mo says. Ippen releases her and looks into her eyes.
"That's a boy name!" Ippen stomps his foot. Mo doesn't seemed fazed.
"Okay then, Ippen." She adds emphasis on 'Ippen', as if to say, 'And Ippen sounds feminine'.
Ippen frowns and runs off right as Torrio, my older brother, comes in.
"Wow, you did make a friend. Unbelievable." he says. Mo stares at him.
"I-I'm Mo," she says. Torrio looks at her.
"Torrio," he says, cool as a cucumber. Mo smiles and Torrio walks off.
I walk up stairs to my room and grab my stuff.
"What's up with the moisturizer?" Mo asks. I sigh. "It doesn't seem like you wear it..."
"Exactly. This is me with it." I say, stretching out my pale arms. Mo smiles.
"And the eyedrops?"
"Uhm-" Hmm, good lie, good lie... "My eyes get itchy sometimes."
"And the inhaler?"
I bite my lip. "Asthma."
Mo glances as I drop my bottle of pills in my bag. "And those... those aren't drugs, right? I'm not bringing a fifteen-year-old junkie into my house, right?"
I shove her playfully. "Yep. I'm high as hell right now."
She laughs. "Okay, okay, but don't tell my mom. She's, well, not into kids who pop and squat."
We laugh together and head to her house. As we walk, Mo brings up Torrio.
"So, how old is your brother?"
I look at her funny. "Seventeen."
"And, on a completely different note, what is a good age difference for dating?"
"Most, in my opinion, is one and a half years, tops. Unless you're, I don't know, Ellen DeGeneres or something."
Mo nods and we walk up to her nice porch. She unlocks the door with a key connected to her belt and yells as she walks in, "Moron, I'm home!"
A groan came from a hall. "Ugh, go away and let me die in peace!"
I watched as a small kid walks in. It looked like a girl, so I crouched down so we were face to face.
"Hi, you must be Mo's little sister." I say. The kid looks at me like I'm an idiot.
"Mo's little sibling. I'm not a girl, numbskull."
I look at Mo.
"Non-binary sibs are the worst." she says. I nod.
We walk to her room.
"That was Laurie." Mo tells me. "I have an older brother, too, but he's at my dad's house."
We sit in her comfortable bed. It has memory foam and it feels amazing.
"Hey, Wins, is your brother-"
"Single? No." I say.
Mo looks offended. "How did you know?"
I shrug. "Easy guess."
"Do you- do you think he would like me if he was single?"
I laugh. "No, because he's gay."
Mo blushes. "Gay brother. Interesting."
