"What do you mean Arne? " I asked Arne.
"Just because they're gone, doesn't mean someone else can't be lurking around the corner. Keep your guard up at all times. We need to find shelter so we can get more sleep away where no one can find us. " Arne explained to me.
"Well, how are we going to know if someone's following us or not? " I asked Arne.
"Remember we're going to look now. We can't be so sure if they're actually gone or not. We got to find their scent, any footprints, hairs, pieces of clothes, any photos of them they left behind or any possessions if that proves their true identity like ID, passport, driver license etc. You get the gist of what I mean right? Remember we have to stay low and out of their sight so they don't catch us two in the act. You better not blow our cover by not talking out of turn. You just listen to me and don't get distracted! " Arne told me straight.
"I understand but with that evidence what are we going to do? Report back home what's going on? " I asked Arne.
"Good question. I haven't thought about that. " Arne answered me.
"So what are you going to do? " I asked Arne.
"Well we'll form a plan to frame them or report it to the authorities so that they can help us? " Arne suggested undecided.
"What sort of plan do you have? You've been in hiding for years so I would expect you know what you're doing. I hope so. " I asked Arne frankly.
"I know what I'm doing so I don't need your help. " Arne sassed me.
"What? You want me to leave you alone? Never because you're in danger! " I refused.
"You don't know what you got yourself up to. It's more dangerous for you than it is for me. I can fight my own battles. " Arne sassed me again.
"Are you saying I'm getting in your way? If that's the way you feel, I'll leave since I'm just a liability to you. " I answered Arne.
"What? I never meant that way. I promise. " Arne attempted to redeem himself to me.
"No, that's what you exactly mean! " I answered Arne.
"Let me explain myself at least! " Arne pleaded me desperately.
"There's no need. I've heard just about enough from you. Goodbye and have a nice day. " I answered Arne.

"Kyla, wait! " Arne hesitated.
"We aren't friends really! " I responded to him.
"What do you mean? Don't go. I'm sorry. I promise. " Arne begged me.
"Promises are cheap and besides you're just making excuses for yourself! " I refused his apology.
"Am not! " Arne took offense.
"Are! " I snapped back at Arne.
"Am not! " Arne sassed me.
"Are too! " I disagreed with Arne.
"Are not! " Arne disagreed with me.
"Do you hear something? I hear voices! " a mysterious man's voice spoke out of the blue.
"Yeah, I hear it too. Where do you think it's coming from? " a woman's voice replies to his.
"Oh no! We've been ought and it's all your fault! " Arne blamed me.
"No, it's yours. This would have never happened if you hadn't opened that big fat gob of yours! " I blamed Arne.
"It's coming from somewhere? " the man's voice spoke again.
"Where? " the woman asked the man.
"What we do now? " Tell me Mr Know-it-All! " I asked Arne for help.
"I don't know. " Arne mumbled out to me.
"I thought you were better than this I guess I was wrong about that. Face it we're toast now! " I admitted to Arne.
"No we aren't! Giving in is what losers do and we aren't one of them! " Arne disagreed with me.
"That sort of wishful thinking is only going to hold you back more from making progress! " I warned Arne.
"It's called hole and having hole that things will go alright. It's not wishful thinking. Lighten up! Snap out of it Kyla! It's not like you to be like that! " Arne scolded me.
"We just met each other. Why are you acting like my mother? I can take care of myself. Thank you very much! " I answered him.
"Kyla, watch out! " Arne called out to me.
"Thanks but I don't need your help! " I countered Arne.
"Fine by me! Don't come back to me crying for my help! " Arne sassed me back.
________________________________________________________________________________
"I won't bother you anymore! " I answered him.
"Bye! " Arne called out to me.
"Bye!" I called back to Arne himself.
"Who's this Kyla person? Never heard of them before! " the man asked the woman.
"You're probably just seeing things! " the woman dismissed him.
"I'm not kidding you! I heard someone for sure! " the man disagreed with her.
"Are you certain that you heard someone? " the woman asked the man.
"Arne wasn't kidding after all. " I spoke to myself.
"You're outnumbered now so what are you gonna do now? Cry for your mommy? Give up? " they both asked me in an obnoxious tone.
"No way am I going to quit! " I countered them.
"You'll regret you didn't later once we best us. With numbers, we got the advantage over you. " they responded to me.
"Numbers don't count to me. The outcome's unpredictable till the fight is over so who knows who'll win? Being overconfident like there is only going to hold you back. You have to be mysterious, humble and calm in situations like this. " I advised them.
"Who cares about that? Winning is the only thing that matters. I don't need help from a weakling like you! " they scoffed at me.
"What do you exactly want form me and are you here in the first place? " I asked them two.
"We want to know if you know a guy called Arne. " they asked of me.
"Of course I don't! " I lied to them.
"Oh really? I don't believe you! " they saw me through my act.
"What does she think she's doing? Doesn't she know she has no chance against them? She sure has guts. Let's see what she'll do with them. " Arne muttered under his breath.
'I got no idea who they are but all I know is that I need to stop them right here and right now. They must have found out but they don't have a clue of what I'm capable of, which is a good thing.' I pondered to myself silently.
"Why is she just standing there? Do something Kyla! She'll lose if she doesn't have some strategy at least. Wait. Maybe she's waiting to see their first move and then make her counter attack to catch them off guard. "
________________________________________________________________________________
"Maybe I shouldn't underestimate her although she's reckless and impulsive at times. " Arne blurted out.
"Why are you waiting for? Make the first move already! " the man complained to me.
"Yeah you're just wasting our precious time! " the woman sided with him.
"Don't be so hasty you two! " I advised them calmly.
"Whatever. Don't tell us what to do. You're really getting on my last nerve by stalling us! If you're not going to make the first move, we'll take the honour of making the first move instead! Later, you'll regret your generosity! " they bluffed proudly.
"She has a plan after all. She shows everything she mean in action. She totally got then around her finger if it goes the way she plans it to be. " Arne realised at last.
"Since you're so fired up, you're welcome to take the honour of making the first move. " I accepted their decision.
"I knew she would do that! This I have to watch! " Arne commented.
"She better live up to my expectations and not lose against them! " Arne commented.
"What are you waiting for? Why are you hesitating? " I asked them two.
"That girl scares the daylights out of me. We let her get to us. If she wins, then we're toast by our boss. We can't let her win without putting s right worthy of praise." the both of them spoke among themselves quietly.
'I broke them. Everything's gonna work out perfectly if it goes like this for me but it won't be thrilling unless they put up a real fight against me. I want so win this fair and square. I'll prove that Arne boy that a I'm someone he'll need to help him. ' I thought to myself.
"It's nothing! Let's get this show on the road. Here's a deal. If you lose, you have to lead us to Arne's location. If we lose, we'll leave you alone in peace. " they asked me.
"Deal and let's just get this done as soon as possible! " I answered them.
"Not happening under our watch! " they warned me.
"Oh really! I'll like to see you try! " I challenged them.
"We're on with it! " they agreed with me.
"That's the spirit! Besides, this wouldn't be any fun if you're scared cats and hold yourself back with me. So don't hold yourselves back! " I responded to them.
"Thanks for the advice but we weren't planning to anyways so you better brace yourself!" they countered me.
________________________________________________________________________________
"Bring it on! " I accepted their challenge.
'Show me what you're really made of. Let's see if you really follow your words through your actions like you should. Give me a challenge otherwise it's not so fun. I'm pretty tired. ' I pondered in thought.
"Kyla, be careful! They're really hard to beat! Believe me! " Arne yelled out to me as a precaution.
'Hard to beat huh people say? I don't care about that. All I care is teaching them a lesson by giving them a taste of their own medicine and I want their defeat to crush them and leave a sour aftertaste in their mouths. Maybe I'm acting all over the top. Kyla, stay calm, cool and collected. Analyse their movements, find their weaknesses or openings and use it to your advantage! Don't get caught off guard by any swift moment they do to get you off rhythm or off balance. Shake them off balance. Eyes opened. Check. Game face on! Check! Ready check. Opponent check! I'm raring to go! ' I pondered to myself privately.
"I got a plan! " the woman spoke to the man.
"What sort of plan?" the man asked her.
"I know what it is! " the woman answered him.
"Then, what is it then? " the man asked her.
"Keep it down otherwise she'll hear us! " the man advised her.
"No, I want her to hear us! " the woman protested.
"Why do you want her to hear? " the man asked her.
"If she hears our plan, she'll make moves to only counter what she hears what we'll do however if we do something unpredictable out of our plan, it'll only catch her off guard, ruin her rhythm, make her lose her cool and react slower so we can then attack! " the woman explained to him.
"I see what you're plotting but I got tons of experience under my belt so don't think it's gonna be easy before I'll give you a hard time! " I warned them ahead of time.
"Yep, she heard us. Everything's working to plan! " the woman spoke to the man.
"Don't get flustered by her. She's trying to distract you and get you off your A-game! " the woman reminded him again.
'They got some plan I presume but whatever trick they're trying to out the wool over my eyes. It won't work this time. Let me see what they're up to now! ' I prepared myself.
"I can't watch! This is giving me the jitters! I'm not the one whose fate is on the line! It's hers!"
________________________________________________________________________________
" I got to do something to help her! I have to wait for the right moment! Maybe I shouldn't because she probably doesn't want me to get in her way. I'll need to watch this closely. " Arne thought to himself.
"Don't worry Arne! I got this! Don't worry about me! I'll be just fine! Trust me on this! " I reassured Arne's worries.
"I'm counting on you. You better live up to my expectations! " Arne answered me.
"I won't let it all go to waste! " I promised Arne.
"I know you won't! That's why I believe in you! " Arne assured me.
"Time to make our move now. It's perfect! " the woman voiced to the man.
"Right! " the man agreed with her.
"Go! " the man answered her as he charged towards my direction.
"Kyla, watch out! " Arne warned me.
"What? " I asked Arne as the man punched me in the stomach.
"Ouch, why did you do that for? " I asked the man straight, groaning.
"It's time that someone put you in your place hotshot! " the man answered him roughly.
"I knew this would happen! I hope Kyla turns the tide now because if they keep this up she'll lose at this rate! " Arne worried just glancing at me.
'What do I do? They caught me off guard! They really weren't kidding! Guess I have to fake it till I make it! ' I panicked internally keeping a straight face on the exterior.
"Don't let her get it her feet! Stop her in her tracks! " the woman instructed the man.
"Ahh! Is that all you can do? " I complained, pushing the man.
"What is she saying? Is she crazy? " the woman asked me.
"Arne, I got this! " I reassured him with one eye closed.
"I hope so! " Arne hoped.
"Don't be such a worrywart! " I told Arne.
"Says someone who's one themselves! " Arne dissed me.
"Huh, am not! " I fought back.
"Are too! " Arne disagreed.
"Time to make our next move. " the woman said to the man.
"Kick her in the knees to knock her off balance! " the woman instructed the man on what to do.
________________________________________________________________________________
"Watch out! Dodge!" Arne called out.
"I don't need your assistance! " I answered him, turning my head as the man kicked me off my feet in my knees to the floor.
"Arghh! Ahh! " I complained.
"Kyla, are you alright? " Arne asked out of concern to me.
"I'm perfectly fine! " I lied to Arne.
"Are you sure? You sure don't seem like it. " Arne pointed out to me.
"I got nerves of steel. They barely caused me any damage. I can still fight on my own feet! " I lied to Arne again.
"Fine if you're going to act like that! " Arne answered me.
"Hmph! " I responded to Arne.
"A dispute between two dear friends! The perfect opportunity to finish you off! " the woman responded to me.
"You're not going anywhere on my watch. Catch me while you can. Save your breath for later! " I warned them, running off.
"Go after her! " the woman ordered him.
"You can't catch me! " I blew raspberries at them.
"We will! You're not getting away from us that easily! " the woman and man warned me, running after me.
"I hope she knows what she's doing! They let things behind them. She bought me time! She'll lose strange sooner or later unless she has lots of stamina in that body of hers! " Arne spoke to himself.
"Where are they? They sure are slow on their feet but I shouldn't stop because they'll catch up with me eventually! I'm gonna settle the score and get even eight them! They'll pay for what they're doing! I'll show them good always prevails in the end! " I muttered to myself, still running further away from them.
"Where did that girl go? She's sure fast. Us two need to work out more. She really got nerves of steel. I guess we underestimated her abilities. She taught us an invaluable lesson and we'll use this new acquired knowledge of ours to our advantage! " the woman mentioned to the man.
