In a way, Oberland is as much the story of Vany as it is about Tybalt. He is like the darker side of the coin to what Vany is. Two chaotic free spirits thrust into the world.
Tybalt Ironside is a character I developed way back when I was around 15 and he has retained almost all the angst and bad decision-making of those ages.
Tybalt is feisty, volatile, and loves a good brawl as much as a good meal.
He's a Rudyan, a member of a warrior race that served as protectors of the now-gone Magyan clans in the Oberland many years ago. Once revered guardians and heroes, they have now become pariahs after the fall of the Magyans, often subjected to mistreatment and distrust. Tybalt grew in this enviroment and much worse...
Side stories and behind the scenes from the comic series Oberland.
Vany and her family live in a land known as Oberland. An unrecognizable yet ever familiar future, full of awes and woes. A land threatened by tyrants, secret covens, the unhuman forces, and the freezing cold itself.
But life must go on, and as it turns out, living day by day in this world is not as bad as it sounds.
