BEELZEBUB’S GLUTTONY
His days were filled with contentment and bliss as it centered on fulfillment of his duties of following the first-born as well as spending time with the one who he was created with, along with one other who they had as their sister. He was showered in the light of love and thus he shone such with his radiant smile that brought warmth like the sun.
Initially there was distance between him and their brother, but the angel whose breath spoke of the innocence and purity, brought them together. He had been the shelter to his rain, the wings to take him into flight as he could not on his own.
Him and many others joined the eldest in the battles until they reached their fall. He had to make a choice: to save him or lose her, or to choose her and risk losing both. His strong hands that used to smite voraciousness and the enemies of the Creator felt weak as he reached out to his brother. His tearful eyes could only look at the scared yet happy look at her face, one that has just come into acceptance of his decision.
As he held onto the youngest, he also tried to hold onto his sanity. The fault lies in him and him alone: the sadness of his brothers, the loss of the beautiful ray of sunshine that used to put smiles on their faces.
It was not long after that he became a being that thrived in darkness, one with a gaping emptiness within him that could never be satiated by anything. Like a horned fly that hung over excrements; he hungered and craved, he preyed and feasted on anything and everything. His heart throbbed every time his stomach grumbled. He had to fill the gaping hole inside him as it was the only thing he could do to make him forget the last smile she showed him.
He had to be strong for him and their brothers. He had to smile on her behalf despite the hunger, he had to smile in spite of the pain. Yet no matter what he did, no matter what he ate, he knew things will never be the same again. The emptiness will never be filled since his true warmth was gone and his smile will always be one without happiness.
But then you came into his life and filled him with all the love that he could only dream of prior.
