Two Days Later, 6:40 pm, PSA Training Floor

Konstantine is on the floor, exhausted from the parkour, he stares at the ceiling trying to relieve himself from all of the rushes he pushed himself in. He thinks about the risk that he is going to take for his status in the PSA. From there, Riley shows up in his sight, staring at him being exhausted.

“Are you okay?”, Riley asked in concern from him being worn out from his training. Konstantine exhales and replies to Riley, “I’m fine.”, he sits up after he said that. Riley sits beside Konstantine and seems like he wants to say something, but he cannot bring himself up to talk about it.

Konstantine took notice and calls him out saying, “If you want to say something, go ahead.”, Riley jumped a bit from Konstantine’s words. He amps himself up and goes for what he is here for by saying, “I’m sorry.”

Konstantine got confused from what Riley just said. He asks to repeat his answer by saying, “I beg your pardon?”, “I said, I’m sorry.”, Riley repeats his words to Konstantine. “Wait, for what?”, Konstantine asked, unsure of what he is apologizing for. Riley responds, clearing up to Konstantine saying, “For my ignorance to you as you came back from your break.”

Konstantine clearly sees what Riley is talking about. “You probably have your reasons to ignore me,”, Riley looks down on himself upon hearing him. “But I am still proud of you.”, Riley looks at Konstantine, asking as of being unaware of what he is talking about, “For what?”, “For keeping our promise.”, Konstantine reminds the conversation before and after the dinner table talk. “Right, our promise.”, Riley said while becoming more down from hearing that.

Konstantine took notice of Riley not being happy. He puts his hand on Riley’s shoulders, takes a second for Riley to look at him, and from there he says, “You’re it.”, “Wait, what!?”, Riley couldn’t process fully of what Konstantine just said. “I saw you training in this course earlier, thought that you should chase me until you tag me.”, Konstantine said as he runs down to the training course. “Hey, wait!”, Riley accidentally drew himself to the game of tag Konstantine made, and it won’t stop until Riley tags him.

3 minutes later

Riley and Konstantine are on the floor panting for air. Both exhausted from their game of tag, with Riley on top of Konstantine, it signalizes that he finally caught up with him. “Finally caught you.”, Riley said while he’s panting for air. Konstantine puts his hand on Riley’s head and replies, “Yeah, you did.”

Riley feeling Konstantine’s hand on his head made him flustered. The feeling made him involuntarily hug Konstantine. “What’s wrong?”, Konstantine said as he notices the tight hug from Riley. Riley blushed a bit and replies, “Just let me stay like this for a while.”, the tightness from Riley made Konstantine realize something. “Okay.”, Konstantine said as he smiled a bit and hugs him back.

After their hug, Konstantine sits up and notices that Riley’s face is still the same. He cannot help but worry and ask, “What’s up with you?”, Riley then realizes that Konstantine saw him in his low-point. He speaks up saying, “I feel like I want to tell you something, but I feel like I am too late already.”

Konstantine figures that there is something on Riley’s mind. “I believe it’s better if you let me know now. The more you hold back, the more you regret it.”, said Konstantine to ease Riley. Those words made a huge point for Riley. It is a now or never situation that he has to do.

“After what happened at our, so-called date, I felt something that I have never felt before.”, Riley said, talking about the aftermath of their dinner table conversation. Konstantine is unsure of what Riley is going to say since he doesn’t know what happened to him after. Riley then continues, “I was jealous of you, Konstantine.”

Konstantine wanted to comment on what he heard, but he decided to hear more than interrupt. Riley goes on by adding, “It’s not because of the respect others have given you,”, Riley takes a second for himself. He then goes on, “It’s because of your one night stand during your break.”

From there, Konstantine realizes what Riley is talking about. “Once I realized you have sights on that man, I figured I was too late.”, Riley adds from what happened that day. He sat back and finally adds, “You belong to him now, and I couldn’t do anything about that.“

Riley looks down, giving up everything after what he said to someone he admires. “You don’t have to worry about that anymore.”, Riley got confused by what Konstantine said. He stood up, looks at Riley and says, “We actually ended our relationship.”, Riley is astonished by the news. “Wait, why!?”, Riley asked, unsure of why it happened.

Konstantine, unfortunately, had to lie to hide the identity of his recent murder by saying, “We agreed to call it off since we are not taking our relationship seriously.”, Riley became more shocked than anything. He stood up and asks on Konstantine’s current situation, “So, then that means?”, “Yeah, I’m back being single.”, Konstantine immediately responds to the questioning of his status.

A sigh came out of Konstantine, Riley notices and thinks that he has more to say. “Unfortunately, I don’t think I should be looking for a while.”, Konstantine said as he looked down. Riley is unsure what he meant, leading him to ask, “What do you mean?”, from there Konstantine brings up what happened yesterday.

Yesterday, 7:25 pm, Sir Davis’ Office

Konstantine passed the report of his latest target marked assassinated to Sir Davis. “Nice work. For that to be done in 2 days, I find that remarkable.”, “Thank you, Sir.”, Konstantine replies to the compliments by Sir Davis for his work. “Alright, since we have nothing yet for you, you can go home now.”, Sir Davis commands Konstantine, but he does not listen.

Sir Davis notices that Konstantine is still standing there and asks, “Do you need anything?”, from there, Konstantine readies himself for his risk that he is going to take. He takes a deep breath and says, “I’m thinking of taking the position that you are asking me to be promoted to.”, Sir Davis is surprised of what Konstantine is asking for.

A nod from Sir Davis hearing Konstantine being ready for the risk. He stood up from his seat, walks to Konstantine and asks, “Are you sure you wanted to do this?”, “Yes.”, Konstantine instantly replied to show that he is ready.

Sir Davis returns to his desk and says, “It is going to be a long way for you though.”, Konstantine was not sure of what he meant by that. From there, Sir Davis goes for his drawers and grabs an envelope, drops it to his desk, and says, “Our Russian branch is actually holding training for employees running for offices there, and they are looking forward to meeting you if you are up for it.”

Konstantine is surprised at the offer given to him. He looks at Sir Davis and realizes that he is serious about what he said. He then looks at the envelope, figuring that the risk he is going to take is actually bigger than he expected. He then looks at Sir Davis and is about to give his answer regarding his offer to go to Russia to train for his position.

Back to Present Time

“You accepted it!?”, Riley is shocked at Konstantine’s decision on the offer. “Yeah. My flight is next week.”, Konstantine replied calmly. The result has shaken Riley, leaving him no words. “Is there a problem with it?”, Konstantine asked noticing Riley being surprised.

Riley stutters a bit, trying to collect himself as he tries to say, “B-but who is going to replace you for it!? No one in here can replace you because you are Konstantine! Who’s gonna do the missions!? Who’s going to help around the office!? Who is going to fill in your spot!?”

To an unexpected turn of events, Riley was pulled and found himself in a kiss between him and Konstantine. It lasted for a few seconds, letting go of their lips, leaving an astonished Riley and a pleased Konstantine. “You are training for that, aren’t you?”, Konstantine said, proclaiming that Riley takes the position.

A realization hits Riley, resulting him to smile and cry. He pulls Konstantine for a hug, to which he hugs back. Both having their moment in their tight embrace, Riley asks Konstantine, “You will return someday, right?”, Konstantine hears Riley as he is making a promise. “Of course I will.”, Konstantine responds this time keeping his promise for Riley.

“I love you.”, an astonishing feeling hits Konstantine from hearing Riley, finally feeling loved like a lover. “I love you too.”, Konstantine responded to Riley as the hug between them becomes even tighter, starting their new relationship.
