In Chinese and Japanese folklore, the gods are said to tie an invisible red string of fate around the pinky fingers of two people who are destined to be together. These two people are presumably destined lovers, much to the chagrin of Terry and Katrina here, and the string has been known to stretch or tangle but never break.
Follow Terry, Katrina, and an ever-growing group of outcasts and misfits as they go to school, put up with their idiot classmates and prepare for a life of pre-established gender roles, mind-numbing societal obligations, and soul-crushing reality.
(Not that they haven’t had a dose of it already, but still…)
It’s about the journey from ignorance to awareness, from childhood to maturity, and dealing with people who would much rather remain ignorant children…or, in some cases, wish other people would remain ignorant children.
