Potions and Brews turns out to be a very engaging but very difficult class as if you miss one set of instructions, you could end up in serious trouble. He uses visual, audio and kinetic teaching styles while going through the materials of the very first module. There're even little helpers for the students that struggle to take notes. It's wonderful, he walks around the class and answers all the questions of each student, no matter how trivial. He also gives detailed descriptions of how every potion isn't one in the same and not just pouring things into a cauldron and expect them to be what you need them to be. It's a mixture of mixology, brewing and baking all in one. All requiring all sorts of difficulty depending on the potion and brews. Elvian had even created a potion right before their very eyes at his desk, making the student's supplies upon their desks follow exactly how he did it, some of the more kinetic learners have delicate glowing white, green and gold swirl designs upon their hands and around their eyes, it's as if they themselves are doing it. Azura has a full body possession of said swirl designs and actually copy the teacher's movements as he created the potion in question. But of course how she would've made it. He knows every student is different and thus the kinetic possession is meant to do it their way. Especially if it's going to be more efficient than what the teacher is doing. Lilliana has a phantom projection doing the potion while she herself is taking notes as if it were a little show.
Once the potion was completed, it was bottled in a fancy water bottle with the students' name engraved on it, "this is one of the more easy potions. Not painfully easy but relatively." Elvian explains, as he holds it up and Mintia raises her hand, "yes Miss Emeraldian?" Elvian calls upon her, Emerald Mint, should've known, Lilliana thought as she examines the bottle, knowing that she's seen this before, "what is the potion?" she asked, he moved his head to the side and answers nonchalantly, "hair health potion. To regrow the hair at the top of your head and make it the healthiest it's ever been. It always help people with balding problems, if not completely erasing said problem." all the girls immediately chug it down. Along with some of the boys. Lilliana just stuffs this potion in her bag. Intending to use it later.
As class went on, the professor has told all of the class to create a potion. One that they know by heart, basically; a potion that they first learned while they were still in their respective houses and if they know potions, pick their favorite. This makes Lilliana smile. As she does have a favorite potion, one she herself has used regularly. Nierion jumps up as he knows what potion she is going to create.
Lilliana walks puts away any or all potion books and just begun pulling out ingredients and the hybrid turns on all everything of importance. Knowing full well what the girl wanted to make, isn't exactly what most would think of when making your first potion. Lilliana hums a tune as she recreates her first potion. But first thing is first, she pours and entire bottle of liquid crystal prism within the cauldron and leaves it to boil as she gathered all the vials and jars necessary. She pours in multiple vials and small bottles of multi-colored liquids within the cauldron, drastically changing the properties and color of the liquids within, different scents escaping as she practically dances as she recreates her first ever potion with Nierion helping her at every turn, adding what he can. At the very end, she picked a (it's crystal clear) bottle that almost resembles a water bottle with a rhombus diamond shaped bottle cap/cork topper, she then drops it into the blackened that when rippling reveals the most vibrant and vivid rainbow ever witnessed liquid within the cauldron. She soon watched the entirety of the liquid be absorbed into the bottle, every last drop is within the bottle. The cork places itself as soon as the potion filled the entirety of the bottle. She picks it up and sees that it's absolutely dry, no wetness anywhere, no one could tell that it was dropped inside the cauldron instead of the normal pouring it to fill method.
She then submits it to the teacher.
She then watches the show begin.
The class sees the beautiful bottle appear before the elven professor. A tag with Lilliana's name illuminated upon it. The professor uncap the potion, the scent of spring fills the room. It is potent. "What potion is that?" asked a student. A winged student near the front, the other students are taking guesses of what it might be,
"I can answer that for all of you..." Professor Elvian said, "A clarity potion. Incredibly tricky to make. Let alone store." he explains as he summons a small cup and begins filling it up, the rainbow liquid just splashing around and just shining each color as it fills. When filled the scent of spring just exuding from the cup and color coming out of the cup in steam. "I've never seen one so potent in scent and vibrant before." He admits as he takes a swig and immediately is hit with the effects. "It's powerful as well." he admits as he puts it down, "a rarity." he finishes as it's clear that his heavy mind had gotten incredibly lighter.
He looks around the bottle, knowing that there's at least one note upon the bottle, finding the tag, he pulls it off and it morphs into a note, saying; 'my very first potion...something I had taken regularly and still take frequently.' Her handwriting is very distinctive from the rest of the students. This made the girl smirk.
Her smirk just became wider as the teacher examines and explains what Lilliana's potion is and what it entails.
Oh the looks on their faces.
Class resumes with more surprises more often than not with what the redheaded girl knew.
They really didn't know what they were getting into, when dealing with this girl.
