He supposed he should tell the stranger what happened. If all of this was real (he was still in a lot of denial), the other person was probably in a similar situation and should know about it.
(Unknown Number)
‘I can’t walk too far from my house before being forced to walk back to it’
He should probably also ask for a name, as referring to the stranger as, well, the stranger was boring.
‘Also, what’s your name?’
‘thats,,, concerning’
‘anyway you can call me mirage’
‘or mire for short’
‘I get it, stranger danger’
‘Call me Bombay. Like the cat, not the city. They’re very cute! Did you know their paws are black too? (They’re black and looked very fluffy in the pictures I saw)’
‘Or if we’re doing nicknames… I don’t know’
‘well personally im a dog lover but you do you’
‘did you want one? seems like it’
‘No, researched them because of a joke and found them adorable! But I wouldn’t be opposed to having one’
‘ill call you onyx bc of the fur color’
‘or maybe bomb?’
‘Onyx, please!’
‘Anyway, bye! I’m trying to figure out how to not starve (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧’
He inputted the name and saved the number.
He turned off his phone and washed his plate, thinking about his next move. His parents should be home in four days, so he’d just eat less food until they came back. He didn’t like that, but that often happened when he forgot to buy food and didn’t have the time to buy it later.
His parents ate outside of the house most of the time because they would go on romantic nights out, stay at work for the night or the meal, go out with friends, or any other feasible reason, so it would take them a bit to realize that there was no food. He was used to it, but it was never pleasant.
He didn’t know what to really do. The few books in the house were already read at less thrice by him, as well as the ones downloaded on his phone. Movies would also only last so long. The games he had were either meant for two or would ultimately bore him.
His solution was to learn a skill. It would be harder without the internet, but man had figured things out without it before, so he could too. Still, he shouldn’t pick a dangerous or too physical one, as he could get hurt or memorize something wrong and never unlearn it! Maybe not, but it was possible. The consequences of picking a skill weren’t really dire, but it was nice to think it through.
Now, what should he learn?
