Every night for the past six years, Mikah has had the same dream: a chimerical savior rescues him from certain death, only for a magic spell to suddenly shatter his memories. It always ends the same way: he is cast into darkness and lost forever.
However, one night the dream changes. A masked stranger bestows great power upon Mikah, welcoming him as a dreamsmith into the parallel universe of the sleeping Earth: the Dreamworld. There, he meets others like him who call themselves dreamsmiths: humans with the ability to traverse the Dream World.
While Mikah has forgotten a great deal of his recent life, he has also forgotten the dangers of the Dream World and the faces of those he should not trust. He no longer remembers what drove him from the Dream World once before… or his past as the man whose name was once on every dreamsmith’s tongue…
