Asheria 16th, 2200: Early in the Morning....
"Your Majesty...I have a message from Marquis Medichi...It is urgent."
King Anchises, still sick in bed, grunts, "Exactly HOW important?!....just out of curiosity, of course. Sorry for raising my voice."
"Erm...I was told not to read it, Sir," and so the knight fidgets.
Ah. This is not good. Shit. I better take this.
As the King receives the letter, he thanks the man before he leaves. He then begins to read the contents of the letter and could only swear out a word that any man would when they are feeling cornered.
"Oh, of course. How lovely."
Finally getting out of bed, the King urgently begins to write a letter to an individual that he can trust with this information. But then, He remembered something that proves disadvantageous to his plan, and so calls in one of his retainers.
"What is the matter, Sire?"
He then whispers the question into his ear, to avoid anyone from listening in. His retainer then happily replies:
"Oh...She's actually in a training session north of here, in the Romaji Sector. Should I inform her and...?"
"Immediately," whispered the King. "This is extremely urgent. Oh, and call them in as well. I think they'll be here a little late but..."
The knight nodded, "Right away sir. What about the Aenida Order, Sir? Should I inform them of this plan or do we keep them out just in case?"
The King nodded his head to disapprove.
It's for the best. Because If Someone snitches...This plan will collapse. Forgive me, My son....
Asheria 18th,2200 MC
It was Early Morning. Aeneas was still deep in his sleep, and so was everyone else. But meanwhile, a soldier who was guarding the horses near the entrance of town was approached by a scout, who went to see the situation in the large town of Cordia. The scout had a panicked expression…and shouted so everyone could hear:
“SIR KNIGHT! THIS IS AN EMERGENCY! WE NEED EVERYONE UP RIGHT NOW! We must head to Cordia NOW!”
Although barely awake, when Reinhardt heard the words “Cordia”, he snapped out of it and was listening in his full senses.
“What happened?”
After being informed of the situation, Reinhardt and the Knight went to wake everyone up and went to get the rest of the army, who were awake, to depart for Cordia immediately. After 20 minutes, The Army was only able to send 1100 men to the battlefield out of 3000.
After half an hour, successfully waking up everyone, Reinhardt finally went running towards Aeneas’s room.
He then opened the door quickly.
“Milord! Wake up! IT’S AN EMERGENCY!”
Aeneas then quickly woke up frightened.
“Gahhhh! What the-??!”
“AENEAS, WE HAVE TO GO NOW!”
“What the hell happened?!”
“It’s the Mauraders, they started their attack! I already send the best soldiers early in the morning to quickly go to Cordia before It’s too late! The Bandits are well-armed…..I'm starting to believe this is too good to be a coincidence...”
Aeneas then quickly got out of bed.
“...I’m going to get dressed now! ”
“ Meet me at the Front Gate of Town, We still have 1900 soldiers left with us, plus Adam, Bruno, Sully, Oliver, and Cormac, waiting there.” Reinhardt then dashed out to wake up everyone else.
“What the hell is going on anymore...The Empire...Could they really be...? If so, What are they planning?"
Meanwhile, in Cordia, One part of the city is already on Fire.
People are panicking and running away, As the Knights of Calydon's Soldiers are stationed there, defending the city. The Bandits had outnumbered the Defenders of the city. They had over 5000, while the Defenders only had just 4000 Soldiers. Some of the Mauraders had broken in and caused damage, but they were taken out by the soldiers in town. The Defenses are currently at its peak.
“There’s too many of them, Sire!” A Chariot Knight was shooting as many arrows as he could from atop his horse.
The Chariot Knight then unleashed a powerful attack using his master arts of Prana.
“Prana Arts: Death Blow!”
He then unleashed powerful arrows filled with tons of energy toward the invaders. Then, Upon impact, A massive explosion occurred.
“Did I get them..?” thought the knight.
Unfortunately for him, Through the powerful explosion, Reinforcements came as quickly as the explosion died down.
The Captain of the Garrison then replied,
“Hold them back as much as you can! Call in our best Mages to defend these walls! The Prince and his Calvary will be arriving soon!”
A mage then noticed something afar from the city. She replied,
“Sire! Look! It’s the Cavalry!!”
Aeneas’s 1100 soldiers had arrived to assist the city's defenders, to fend off the deadly well-armed bandits.
“Perfect! We’ll Crush them from both front and behind! Send half of our men through the back of town and prepare a counterattack! We will crush them in a pincer attack!” The Captain then continued to press on the attack to assist the incoming reinforcements with support fire.
However, A Mysterious figure looked afar from the battlefield. A Thabean Insignia was on his cloak, for it was none other than a General from the Imperial Army.
“Tch...I didn’t expect HE would bring so many men. He then said to one of his lackeys. “Bring THAT MAN in, and tell him to fire at will. We’ll lower their morale with this one shot.”
While The first 1100 Men from the Aenida Order and the Cordian Defenders were fighting the enemy, a big light shined over them. They then looked up. A Mysterious Hooded Man was flying over them.
"Ugh...Must I really do this?" He then opened his tome and chanted:
He then chanted: "Fire Element Technique: Dance of the Phoenix."
A huge phoenix made of scorching flames was formed and then it looked at the soldiers and was about to attack...until…..a bigger shadow appeared above the man. This time, he looked above him as well. Everyone was looking up now. But What they saw….was phenomenal.
The hooded man then was freaking out, for he had never seen such a massive beast that...can fly.
“What the hell...is that????! That Emperor never told me about this...This is why I HATE mop-ups like this...I'm out!”
The Hooded Man then summoned a Chariot made of flames and barely escaped from the battlefield.
"H-Hey!" The General was running after the Hooded man, but it was too late, for the flying beast then attacks him mercilessly.
"D-damn you...Val..."
Meanwhile back at Hei'dao, Aeneas met up with the remaining 1900 at the front gates, readying to depart.
“Are we ready, y’all?”
Everyone saluted. “Yes Sir!”
Aeneas then asked Reinhardt a question. “How long will it take us to get to Cordia?”
“If we hurry, It should take us about an hour and a half to get there….But that’s still too long...Anything can happen in an hour.”
Oliver then makes a proposal. “I got an idea!”
Reinhardt and the rest look at him. “What is it, Sir Oliver? Please tell us!”
Oliver smirked. “If I use my special wind spell, which enables anyone...in this case the horses, nimble...We can get there in less than half an hour.”
Reinhardt and everyone’s morale were now raised, believing they still hold a chance for making it on time.
Aeneas smiled. “Perfect.”
Oliver then chanted. “Wind Element Technique: Gentle Blessing!”
He surrounded the magic around each horse...and within seconds, the rest of the army was now lightweight.
Oliver held a thumbs up. “I suggest each and every one of you hold on tight now! These Horses are gonna be 3 times faster than usual!”
"Are you sure you can keep it up with over 1000 troops?!" shouted a worried Sully.
"THIS IS AN EMERGENCY! IT'S NOW OR NEVER!" shouted Oliver back.
But then Oliver realized something and thought to himself.
"Wait...How fast can horses go in maximum speed..? Uh oh."
Reinhardt then shouted and gave the signal to move on.
“Alright Men! CHARGE! DESTINATION: CORDIA!”
It was now a race to the city of Cordia, and a battle of time.
Meanwhile, Sully was freaking out, using all his might to keep still upon his horse, for they were running insanely fast. Everyone was not used to the insane amount of speed of the horse… Some soldiers were even crying for help...I mean what human has ridden upon a horse that goes 165 mph?
“Holy Crap, These horses are so- arghhhhh!!!”
Alonso was laughing. “What’s the matter, My Rival?? I thought you were better than this!”
“How the hell are you fine, Alonso??” Sully was on the verge of falling off his horse, as everyone else was too.
“I train every day! And I’m mentally prepared for stuff like this! Although I sort of feel like-” Alonso then couldn’t handle it anymore and threw up.
“Oh Gods!”
Oliver did his best to look forward, before he too, threw up.
"Yeah, I'm never doing this again. I may have a better Mana output than everyone else here, but...This isn't worth it..."
Upon 20 Minutes later….. After Sweat and Literal Tears, The 2nd Half of the Aenidas Order had arrived in Cordia, upon a knight shouting that they have a visual of the city.
Reinhardt then shouted. “I can see the city walls! Oliver! You can halt your magic slowly now!”
“R-roger!”
The Horses then began to slow down and returned to their normal speed.
After taking a good look at their surroundings, Bruno was then awed after he saw the battlefield. “Guys, Look!! The City and the Battlefield….”
Reinhardt then saw and took a good look at the landscape. He could not believe his eyes. “What….The hell happened?”
The Battlefield was filled with many fallen soldiers….and Flames. A large crater outside of the walls can also be seen…. And This time, Half of the City was in flames.
Aeneas panicked at the sight of this and was reminded of the day his mother died.
"There was flames on that day too....Flames....Flames. Oh my god."
“By the Gods, The City is on fire! Hurry, Men! Support Every remaining soldier fighting in there! Water-Technique Users, Take out that fire!”
The Army rushed in. Their fight had finally begun, when a barbarian was about to attack Adam. Then Cormac jumped out of his Horse and beat the foe with his spear with an upper cut.
“Thanks!”
Cormac nodded.
Aeneas then shouted. “Everyone! Defend the city! Gather everyone you can find to the Town Hall-”
“MILORD, BEHIND YOU!” Sully saw an incoming attack from a bandit about to hit the Prince.
Aeneas then quickly noticed but It was too late.
"L...losing my head shouldn't be a problem...Wait, no. I never had something that serious happen. I don't even know how these...strange feathers work around me, even if it happened several times during my 5-year journey. Only Reinhardt knows my secret...Besides, If everyone else sees me do it...I have no choice. I'll explain-"
But then, The bandit got his hand shot by an arrow and dropped his axe. “GAH!”
Aeneas then punched the bandit away from him. From afar, A Mysterious Figure in a white cloak came out from the shadows of the town.
"...Are you okay?"
Reinhardt, looking at the figure who had rescued the Prince, shouted.
“Identify Yourself!”
The Mysterious Hooded figure then replied, “Hold your fire…”
The person then removed their hood. Suddenly, Long Flowing hair flows out of the figure's hood. Beneath the hood was a charming woman...with messy hair. Feathers even stood out from her hair...Feathers were everywhere around her clothes.
Aeneas thought to himself as he stared at the woman:
"Oh, nice. Feathers. I hope we aren't related somehow, 'cause now I'm...What can I even say here? She's hella suspicious!!"
The woman then replied: “I am your ally. You may call me Solomon.”
