Solomon then gathers everyone's attention by shouting:
"Everyone! Gather up and listen to me! Help Oliver! Gather some of your mana that you have and link with Oliver!! It doesn't matter if you can't use magic, The ones with Minor Mana can help too! Just follow my movements."
Solomon then pulled her arms up and then clapped her hands together. Suddenly, a form of gas was coming out of her, and headed straight to Oliver. Startled, Oliver fell to his feet, before being absorbed by the cloud. After a minute, Oliver suddenly felt a great surge of mana recover.
"I-I...feel much stronger...It's as if I just recovered the mana from the last trip we made the past day. I still...feel like I need more though..."
Everyone noticed how Oliver looked alot less worn out compared to a minute ago. Then, everyone in the army agreed with Solomon, and proceeded to do the same movements. In a matter of minutes, everyone linked their mana to Oliver. Solomon then proceeded to give the next order.
"Now, Everyone, Keep your focus up, and don't sever the link! If we keep this up...Sir Oliver, how long will it take for us to arrive in the capital?"
"With all this mana...I think I got a somewhat better idea...We can reach there in an hour. I'm about to make the flying extraterrestrial look like a party trick."
Reinhardt then got nervous and asked quickly, “Why are you helping us?”
Solomon glanced at the Prince before looking directly at Reinhardt for an answer.
“I happen to see what happened here as I was traveling by the mountains. I could see a large fire from all the way there, and so, I decided to dash here as fast as I could to see what was going on. Then, I saw the battle between the city's knights and those evil-doers. And so I decided that my mission for today was to save the people here. But Alas...I did not think they would go as far as to attack the heart of your country, nor that this was all a diversion….”
Solomon then pointed to Aeneas's soldiers.
“But With this technique, The ability to link mana...Oliver's plan can be done swiftly.”
Everyone was shocked. “Is that really possible…?”
Reinhardt thought to himself. “A woman with such strength...I believe it’s safe to say she’s telling the truth. As far as I’m aware, We haven't even heard of such a technique here…”
He then asked her, “Can you prove to us, this concept of mana-linking?"
Everyone went silent and some mumbled, doubting this suspicious plan. They went as far as to imagine if she could perhaps be one of the spies for Thabes.
“Allow Oliver and your men to demonstrate right now….For the Prince.”
Reinhardt then looked at Aeneas. “What should we do, Milord…?”
Aeneas whispered to him. “I trust the bird lady. I don’t detect any lies from her...and besides, we can’t afford to waste any more time right now. So, I say we take this risk now.”
Aeneas then looks at Solomon. “Alright Bird Lady…..Let’s cooperate.”
Solomon smiled a bit. “Thank you for placing your trust in me, Mr. Prince.”
Meanwhile in Calydon….
A Knight runs as fast as she could towards the Castle, desperately looking for the King. After reaching his bedroom, She barges in.
“My King! We have trouble!!!”
King Anchises then wakes up from his sleep. “What’s the matter?”
“Master Anchises….B-Bandits….No….Mercenaries….There’s an army of about nearly 10,000 men outside the city, marching towards here! It’s practically an invasion!!”
King Anchises gets a little worried. “Mercenaries….As I thought….Is House Jupitar behind this...? Or...”
Suddenly another soldier barges in. “M-Master Anchises!”
The King then thinks to himself, smirking, as if he anticipated what the soldier was about to ask, “Is it what I think it is….?”
“REINFORCEMENTS HAVE ARRIVED! IT'S...I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN BUT...”
King Anchises then laughed greatly and thought to himself. “Guess the Marquis was correct in this intel, though we have no idea who the hell would reveal this...But If this is your doing...You sure as hell aren't taking the throne, Jupitar.”
After minutes of planning, Aeneas and his small Army of just barely 1,900 men, were assembled in position.
Solomon then shouted, “Alright, Are we ready?”
Everyone chanted. “YES MA’AM!!”
Aeneas then whispered something to Solomon.
“Hey umm….Bird lady.”
“Yes?”
“Why are you so nice to us and would go so far as to use your only tool to go back home for us?”
Solomon then quietly replied back. “Keep this a secret from the rest...But Me and you….Our roles aren’t so different.”
Aeneas was confused at what she meant by that until he had an idea. “You mean You’re...Royalty?”
Solomon chuckled. “Yeah….In a sense. I’m doing this because I value innocent lives over myself. If I went back home now and let innocent lives die….The Great Elder would never let me become head of the clan like this...for he sees all. And He would be right to do so anyway.”
She then looked at the Prince and whispered.
“Let me tell you a little something. A King or Prince…..Anyone, Be it a Group Leader, Army General….Should never abandon their friends and family for the sake of rules, or for the state, no matter what. Especially if they have cared for you...and loved you...It’s unjust. One mustn’t simply always be a slave to rules that authority establishes for us. Our Family is above anything else, for they are the very people that have raised and loved us all our lives. They fight to fill our stomachs and protect us. We mustn’t ever forget their efforts.
We also have to think for ourselves at least once, What we think is best to do, in certain situations. We must learn to ask ourselves, “Is this really the right thing for me? Is this really something we all want? Is this the right choice?" Do you understand where I’m getting at?”
Aeneas was stunned at her words but understood what exactly she was talking about, and recalled her mother. “Are you perhaps aware of…”
Solomon, Thinking she knows what he was about to say, nodded without thinking.
“Like my father, I too, can hear and see all, to a degree. I can see that...Certain People are suffering terribly here.
Aeneas said nothing, and couldn’t reply. He looked down in shame.
Solomon then replied, in encouragement, “But...You are different, No? You...are committed to change, correct? I sense something deep in your heart…It's an odd...yet familiar feeling. That what you desire...is different from what everyone else desires.”
Aeneas looked at her and asked, “How…?”
Solomon then replied, “That’s not important. The real question….Don’t you want to save your people….your friends….your family?”
Aeneas looked at her for a while, smiled, and then stood up straight.
He replied, “Thank you, Bird lady. I...trust you. I just hope Oliver doesn't die from this. That is the last thing I would want.”
Solomon smiled. "I assure you, As long as your soldiers support him, we have nothing to fear. Let’s go, Mr. Prince. Let’s save your family...the family that is called…Calydon.”
Aeneas smiled in agreement. He felt a great sense of satisfaction from that sentence just now. “Yes.”
Solomon then shouted. “Alright! Oliver, Start the spell! Everyone, hold on to your horses, and don't lose focus on your link! Oliver needs all the strength he can get!!!”
Everyone then united together, making sure that nobody was far from each other. Oliver then opened his tome, and began to chant several spells.
"Wind Technique: Light Weight....
Wind Technique: Float...
Wind Technique: Aerodynamics....
"ALRIGHT! PREPARE FOR LIFTOFF! 3...2...1...TO THE CAPITAL!"
Then, Unleashing several spells, He was able to link them to everyone. Then, the charge towards Arcadialesm had begun. In an instant, the army had blasted off to the sky, at a safe altitude. It was something out of Mary Poppins, except the mere idea of a thousand men with horses flying in the air already sounds much more ridiculous than that. But this was neccesary, according to Oliver. Sully, Cormac...everyone was hanging on tight. Meanwhile, Aeneas looked completely unfazed. In fact, he felt amused, and almost wanted to jump out an fly himself.
After an hour of flight, several men identified the capital from below, and Oliver, hastily decreased altitude to barely just arrive at the outskirts of the capital. Upon landing, Oliver and everyone else, let go of the link and then fall on the ground, exhausted. Regardless, the mission...was a success.
Aeneas looks around his surroundings, and smiles, in awe. But then remembered what cards he was currently faced against.
Aeneas was then pumped up. Thanks to Solomon's idea, they managed to reach the capital in an hour, with the help of the Mana-Link. But now, Aeneas had to make sure that they could hold out so that reinforcements can arrive from all of Calydon. “Alright Men! Charge towards the capital!!! Liberate our people! Someone, Send a messenger to nearby cities! We need as many people to help liberate our home from these fiends!”
Cormac, Alonso, Bruno, Sully, Oliver, Reinhardt, and Everyone else charged toward the walls.
Once they went out of the forest…. Cormac then instantly saw something that caught his eye….
“Milord!! Look!!”
Aeneas looks towards the battlefield. “No….way…”
2 large armies under their appropriate banners had wiped out nearly all of the invaders together. They severely outnumbered the marauders.
Sully was confused. “What’s going on?!”
Bruno, in an instant, recognized the emblems of the 2 banners that were fighting against the raiders.
“That’s the Midguardians...and the Duchy’s Army! What are they doing here?! Weren’t they supposed to be here tomorrow?”
Alonso was flabbergasted as well, and replied,
“I don’t know what’s going on anymore!”
But then, An Enemy was about to attack Cormac out of nowhere, catching everyone off guard.
Oliver then shouted, “LOOK OUT!!”
Cormac did not react in time...until a knight charged through, jumped off their horse, and slain the enemy down with their axe, in a dramatic entrance.
Aeneas, stunned at the knight's moves, asked:
“Who are you…?”
The Knight then scoffed at him.
"Keep your eyes open. You almost got this elder killed because of your carelessness."
