Courtney goes to school and even though she is still mad at Kate they still talk. After school Courtney goes shopping for clothes for the date. Courtney goes to the mall by herself not wanting Kate to know about her relationship. She buys a pink, off the shoulder dress and a pair of heels. She also buys makeup. She walks home and hides everything she bought. Courtney then starts to worry if this date is a trick and that Alex doesn’t like her, and so much more. Courtney’s mom gets home and she runs downstairs. “Mom I need to ask you something,” Courtney said. “Go on,” her mom said. “Can I go out tonight?” Courtney asked. “What time?” her mom asked. “Around seven,” Courtney said. “What time will you be back?” her mom asked. “I don’t know,” Courtney said. “Who is this boy?” her mom said all of a sudden. Courtney could feel her heart travel down her legs and to her feet. “So who is he?” she asked again. Courtney takes a deep breath. “He's a boy at school,” Courtney said. “That boy from yesterday?” her mom questioned. “Yes,” Courtney said. “Okay you can go just be safe,” her mom said. “Thank you, mom,” Courtney said. Courtney went back upstairs and into her room. She hears the front door open and it was her dad.
