In the morning, he only knew it was in fact morning by his clock. It claimed it was 7:00, but he doubted it. When he opened his blinds, he closed them faster than last time because he could barely see outside. He could only really see to the road, and the grass on the other side? Ha.
Darkness aside, he wanted to figure out how high he could go.
He had had dreams of flying last night, and that had made him think of that. He could only go so far away, but what about going up? He couldn’t accidentally go down like that!
But how could he go up high? And the darkness wouldn’t help. After a certain height, he wouldn’t be able to see anything!
He couldn’t put it off too much if he wanted to achieve it, however, because if things continued the way they were, he wouldn’t be able to see at all outside. He didn’t want to waste the flashlight battery on, what, building the tallest tower he could? Yeah, nope.
Maybe he could throw something up to measure?
Nah. The whole idea was a disaster, and he should probably just give up on it. Would it really impact him? He still wouldn’t be able to leave the area.
That was a waste of time!
He got ready for the day, noting that more lights weren’t turning on, and felt strangely awake. He’d usually be at least yawning when he woke up. He wasn’t complaining!
PING!

‘day 3’
‘Day 3’
He went to check the food he had left until his parents got home, which was only three days away.
He had a near empty cereal box, some popcorn, a meal’s worth of leftovers, and two jugs of water. Oh! There were frozen raspberries! Along with some ice.
He finished the cereal, using the light of his phone to light up part of the kitchen, as only one light would turn on, and it was the furthest from the table and the dimmest. He never used milk (or water, like some heathens) with his cereal and never would, so he basically snacked on it as he found what like information he could find without access to the internet.
Alright, he knew he’d downloaded some information he’d found interesting, so what was it?
Stuff you should do for a smoother death for your family… Terms for common and some uncommon magic tricks… Weird ways to start fires… Copyright laws…
When did he actually think he would reread this?
Also, none of this would really apply to him, (except for the death thing, obviously, but he didn’t want to think about that) so maybe he thought it was interesting? But there were more interesting things he hadn’t saved and had forgotten the specifics of??? He was weird, he concluded.
He found one about learning to draw fantasy creatures, so guess what he’d be doing for the rest of the day?
He set up a table under the brightest light and started to draw.
