- Why are you complaining, sis? - Alexander raises his eyebrow and points his finger to Selena’s face - YOU never gave me anything made by you… Most of your projects are for the clients… Our cat already got a bed and auntie got a shawl… - He opens his arms and shakes them. - I am the only person in this house who doesn’t own any of your creations. I am sure that I would like it…
Selena looks at her brother and realises that he is right. He walks away from the kitchen but comes right back.
- Do you want a bookshelf? I can make you one right now. I’m still on time… Maybe you would be more organised.
- Now I don’t want it anymore… I know where I keep my stuff… - Selena grabs Alexander’s arm and looks him in the eyes - It’s true… But how can I craft something to… to such a… such a special person? Yeah… that’s the word… Special. That’s what you are in my life… Never thought that you wanted one so badly… don’t worry… consider yourself the first on the list…
Aunt Irene gets up and puts the cups and plates in the dishwasher.
- Well, honey, what you should do now, is to help me find a good recipe for your birthday cake. - The cat comes close to her and lets her pet him. - Do you want to eat, kittie?
- I can feed him… Come here, Migui! - Selena grabs the cat and takes him to the kitchen under her arm. Right after, she pours some fresh milk in his bowl, he bumps his head against her leg and starts to lick the drink. - You could bake one and decorate it with jelly gums… like the ones I see in the internet. Or one of those with layers in different colours. I’ll help you… promise…
- Just search and show me your different ideas… I’ll take care of the rest.
- Is it possible for me to decide anything for my special day? All this secrecy is driving me mad… - Alexander comes out of his room all dressed up, picks up the car keys and places his wallet in in the back pocket of his jeans. - Hey! Where are you going?
- It’s none of your matter… - He kisses their aunt on her cheek. - Don’t wait up for me.
‘…’…’…’

Although it’s a cold day, the February sun heats the inside of the Alexander’s car. He stops on the side of the road not very far from home and waits, not for very long. Two crows fly in his direction. One lands on an electricity post and looks around, guarding the surroundings, while the other comes down onto the driver’s wing mirror. As soon as the window is all open, the second crow hops on Alexander’s hand and then onto the passenger’s seat.
- I think I screwed up yesterday!
The bird lowers its head under the left wing and hits a small button with the beak.
