This is heavily simplified but I know that my life falls apart when I don't do these things!!
Making my bed keeps me from getting back into it for a depression nap
Going for walks at the end of every day keeps me sane and grounded. It gets me away from social media and lets me just chill out, enjoy some music and spend time with my dogs. I unfortunately have a physical disability which makes walking painful for me, but I try to keep this habit up as best as I can
I know 'KEEP A JOURNAL' is advice that we've all heard and it doesn't work for everyone, but it does work for me. I start to panic if I don't keep to-do lists and make a record of everything I need to do. I really appreciate being able to get my tasks out of my brain and into a notebook where I don't have to think about them until I need to (in a good way!)
And most importantly, I have my notifications off for most social media things on my phone. DM notifications make me super anxious especially so now I only deal with stuff like that when I'm ready to, otherwise it feels like I'm being invaded in my own home oof
Anyway those are just some really simple things that keep me afloat. If you have any of your own, let me know in the comments :3 I'm always on the hunt for new tips that I can try out or pass around to my friends
That reminds me actually! Someone on twitter gave me a good tip for dealing with procrastination: do 5 minutes of work and then 10 minutes of rest. Repeat until you just want to get the thing done!! I've been trying that out this week and it seems to be working :0
oh yeah This is similar to my thing. if I don't have a scedule and get out of my house I 100% lose all track of time and find myself in a puddle of depression within days
