NOTES:
-Finally I get to introduce Marnie! In case it isn't obvious, took a lot of liberties with her, including design and writing wise. Of all the SWSH rivals, she has the least amount of development, which is a shame, so I'm hoping to add a lot more to her character here.
-SO. if you're in any pokemon/nuzlocke related server with me, you'll probably know I don't have the fondest feelings towards Team Yell, regardless of how much I love SwSh. They always felt like a less interesting rebranding of Team Skull that didn't have that much relevancy in the grand scheme of things? So I decided to just embrace them as the silly, nonsensical group of stans that they are, haha.
-And the real meat of the page, EVOLUTIONS!! So first, Laurie, who didn't actually evolve until later on Route 3 during grinding for Milo, but rule of cool. It's mentioned in D/P/Pt especially that Pokemon release a specific type of energy when they evolve, which leads me to believe that this kind of energy can influence other Pokemon around them, so it's common to have Pokemon evolve at the same time given all the energy and adrenaline that's in the air.
-And finally, Harper's evolution! Drizzile's design gave me a lot of grief, I went back and forth on how much to change and break away from the original design (which I don't hate, it's just that dumb hair...) before I finally settled on the "middle evolution is the gateway between first and final evolution" route that the Kanto starters especially follow. I'll miss drawing her little Sobble face, but hopefully I've done her Drizzile design justice ;w; She actually evolved ingame after the first Team Yell double battle, which inspired this mini subplot!
-Why yes, I'm proud of that Halloween joke landing perfectly on the upload schedule for October.
