It's the 1910s, World War 1 is in full swing. Eugene Gale, upon hearing the news of his delinquent childhood friend, Velvet Loughborough, being conscripted as the first female soldier in modern European warfare. Gale, fearing for the safety of his friend, volunteers for service. However, the brutality and horrible conditions couldn’t prepare him for what was awaiting him when he finally met Vel. Gale is surprised and astonished, his childhood friend seemed like a completely different person than who he remembered. Yet, Gale does not want to give up on her, was it love? Or obligation?
