Lir watched as Duke began to help Elijah with the assignment as he tried his best to focus on his work. Lir looked at his computer screen as he began typing as he made a soft sigh "Hard to write this but I am going to finish this no matter what." He began to type as he remembered what he had written about as he chuckled to himself "Duke will get a kick out of this." He said in a nonchalant tone. He noticed after typing a few more words that Duke had moved onto Siam as he was now sitting between him and Siam as he felt a heat rise to his face as he quickly tried to focus on his work as he felt a tap on his left hand as he looked up to see Elijah smiling "Dude, calm down you are gonna go ablaze if your cheeks turn anymore red." He whispered to Lir, sighing in defeat Lir returned to his work as his blush had finally retreated as he noticed Duke turning to face him as Duke gave him a cheerful smile "So Lir, where are you at in your assignment?" Lir chuckled gaining his confidence back as he spoke "I have two more sentences, but do you mind double checking the other parts to my essay?" Duke nodded as he took the computer as he began reading the document as his expression seemed to lighten more to Lir. Duke smiled at him kindly "Lir, that was so heartfelt and kind! I think you would make a great writer one day." He said as Lir chuckled "Thanks Duke, I still need help with the last two sentences though." Duke chuckled in a awkward tone as he nodded "Hmm, based on your way of typing throughout the essay, I would say end it off like this." Lir watched as he had seen when Duke would enter a state of focus before "With regards to my final body paragraph, I believe that students in schools should be allowed to bring a same sex partner to prom due to the fact schools cannot stay in the ancient history, we have to evolve schools with the students not just the faculty. And that the main fear of something happening in the restroom is going to happen even if they don't go together." Lir smiled as he thought to himself "Man, that was all to correct. I wonder if he was making assumptions considering what I wrote about schools allowing LGBTQ abuse from other students without major punishment." Lir chuckled "That works perfectly Duke, thanks!" Duke smiled as he looked at Elijah who gave the two a thumbs up as the bell rang for lunch.

Duke smiled as he logged out of his own computer putting it back on the shelf as he stood up heading over to grab his things as he noticed Lir walking over as he turned "What's up Lir? I just need to grab my things and then we can go to lunch." Lir nodded "Well, I was going to remind you to text your dad so that way he can let the school know you are staying after to use the gym." Duke set his text books into his bag as he pulled his phone out "Here, can you call him for me? I'll just be a second." Lir nodded as Duke handed him his phone, Duke looked into his bag as he gave a slight smile as he finish putting his books away as he turned taking the phone from Lir as his father answered "Yes Duke?" Duke sighed softly as he spoke "Dad, I am staying after today and was wondering if you could let the office know so that way Lir can take me home?" Duke smiled softly at Lir who was just making silly faces "Yes I will call the school, ask Lir if he minds if you just stop by to pick up some clothes since we plan to go to bed early tonight." Duke looked up at Lir who simply nodded and offered his hand for the phone as Duke spoke "Here you can tell him Dad." as he handed Lir the phone, "Man, I hate asking my dad for things..." Duke thought to himself as he put his bag on his back as he grabbed his cup of water taking a small sip from it as he waited for Lir to finish. As soon as Lir finished Duke was given back his phone as Lir smiled at him "Your dad said after you finish up in the gym to take a shower and then we can stop by your house to pick up some clothes to last for tonight and tomorrow morning. As you will be staying at my house tonight." Duke nodded "Alright, well we should head to lunch before Elijah get suspicious, or worse Agatha gets curious." Lir seemed flustered by this as Duke smiled "Ehh, she won't do much just toss ideas around at what we could be doing." Lir nodded as Duke sighed in relief that he didn't have to talk it out with his father. "Well, let's g-" Duke was cut off as Seyoce walked in "Oh, Duke, Lir, sorry I didn't know you guys were in here." Lir chuckled softly with a nervous tone as he spoke "We were just leaving Seyoce." Duke nodded as him and Lir walked out as Duke caught some of what Seyoce said "I am sure someone will be asked about their feelings to another soon." Duke immediately turned red as he figured she meant him and Lir as they walked to the cafeteria. As they arrived in the cafeteria Duke took immediate notice of Percival and Agatha as he smirked looking to Lir for conformation as Lir nodded "Do it." Duke smirked walking up behind Agatha and Percival as he spoke loudly "I hope it is a BOY!" He yelled Boy to get everyone's attention as the entire teacher's table erupted with speaking as Agatha turned a dark shade of red. Mr. Blanket walked over to Duke pulling him to the side "Good one Duke, most of us teachers already knew but it is nice to hear a student say it." Duke nodded as he walked back over to Lir who was laughing up a storm as he wrapped a arm around Duke without realizing it as he quickly stopped laughing as Duke turned a rather vibrant shade of red as the walked to the table they sat at as Duke set his bag down and then his cup as him and Lir went to the line to get some lunch as Elijah followed "Hey, Duke?" Elijah asked as Duke turned "Yeah, Elijah?" Duke knew the look Elijah was giving him as he sighed "Yeah, I guess we can talk about it now." He glanced to make sure Lir wasn't listening as he spoke with a shaky voice "I have feelings for Lir, okay?" Elijah's eyes lit up as he smiled "That's okay, Siam was picking up on it earlier and told me." Duke struggled to form a sentence as he grabbed his tray walking back to the table sitting down as Lir sat in his normal place across from Elijah as Siam sat across from Duke. Duke quietly ate until Siam tapped his shoulder "Hey Duke? it's okay, the only one of us four who doesn't know is Lir." Duke felt his face heat up as he finished his food drinking his milk as he sighed "J..Just promise me you guys won't tell him." Siam nodded "You have my word." He said just as the bell rang to leave the cafeteria and head to 5th slot.
