Duke chuckled softly as he was looking out the window as he was trying to hide his obvious blush as he climbed out of the truck as Lir's house "What was that feeling... I think it was love but it felt more close to my heart than love has before." He thought as he grabbed his duffel bag sighing as he walked to Lir's house behind Lir as he opened the door letting Duke in who smiled softly "Thanks." as he walked in waiting for Lir since he didn't want to go somewhere in the house without ground rules.

Lir shut the door chuckling "Duke, you know you can set your stuff in my room. Come on I'll help you get it up there." He said taking Duke's school bag feeling just how heavy it was, he walked up the stairs knowing Duke was following due to the second set of footsteps on the stairs as he walked to his door opening it turning on the lights glad that he had cleaned his room that morning so there was a decent amount of room to get into the room. Lir smiled as he set his and Duke's school bags on his desk as he turned chuckling as Duke was having trouble getting the duffel bag through the door. "Here, turn it vertically." He said as he turned it to help Duke get into the room.

Duke gave a toothy grin "Ya know, for me being the quote on quote smartest kid in our class I do not think logic fits smarts." Which granted him a chuckle from Lir "Yeah, but hey that is part of who you are. Don't ever change that okay?" Duke was caught off guard by the sudden compliment as he chuckled "So uh Lir, what do you think... about being in a relationship? It is entirely up to you." Duke shuddered at the change in atmosphere as Lir gave him a awkward smile "I think after we finish up what we have for the math homework we should sleep on it." Duke nodded feeling the awkward tension between him and Lir as he went and sat at the desk in the spare chair as Lir followed and sat in the other chair as he pulled out his homework as Duke followed suit. Duke looked at the paper as he grabbed his pencil "So, where did you get to Lir?" Lir smiled "I only have the bottom half to do, I see you have a few left as well." Duke nodded as he looked at his paper "I have the main idea of the page, I just didn't finish before the end of class." Lir nodded with a small smile "That is alright, well you can get started and we will see who finishes first." Duke chuckled as he began working as he wrote the problems out on the edge of the paper thinking carefully as he began to answer some of the questions.

Lir gave a smile as he finished his last few problems as he chuckled "First, Do you need some help Duke?" Duke nodded slightly "Yeah, I am a bit stumped on this question. How do you manage to get zero? The answer keeps coming out to 2..." Lir nodded as he looked at the problem pointing to a spot in Duke's calculations that had a 4, "You put a four here, when it is a 2." Duke looked at it chuckling softly "Guess I was rushing?" Lir shrugged "We all slip up at least once on math assignments." He looked at Duke who was fixing to yawn but was trying to hide it. "Let's get some rest Duke, we have school tomorrow." Duke nodded as he finally realized "Uhh, Lir? Where am I going to sleep?" Lir's face drained slightly as he knew his parents would be coming home tonight and they didn't have really anywhere else he could sleep besides the couch but Lir knew his parents would be mad that he put Duke on the couch. "Um, well you can sleep in my bed if you want, besides that I am not quite sure."

Duke froze but re-steeled his guard as he spoke "Of course I suppose I can sleep in your bed... .with you." He sighed mentally as he seen the nervous sweat on Lir's face as he gave him a grin "Don't worry, nothing is gonna happen. It's not like the bogeyman is going to pop out and get you." Lir started chuckling as he nodded "Alright Duke, well are you going to change into something more comfortable than jeans and a t-shirt?" Duke nodded as he reached into his duffel bag pulling out shorts and a tank top "Yeah, I will head out and go get changed real fast." He then walked out of the room and down the hall to the bathroom as he went in quickly switching clothes as he held his dirty clothes in his hand as he walked out and back to Lir's room as he seen Lir had already changed into a pair of shorts but no shirt as he mentally screamed but kept a kind smile as he set his clothes into the separate pocket on his duffel bag as he heard Lir climbing into the bed as he reached over turning off the light as he walked to the bed as laid down as he sighed softly "Night, Lir." He heard Lir whisper "Goodnight Duke." As he turned to face the window in the room as he closed his eyes.
