Old Ji, or rather, Ji, floated in the air, and slowly kissed the statue’s forehead.
He smiled and looked in Long Chen’s direction, then took a step. With that one step, he stepped outside the Dragon land, and with another step, he was in the vast Myriad Stars Universe.
Young Ji soared through the Myriad Stars, laughing as he thought about a certain woman.
Old Ji’s absence wasn’t realized until the day after—he was known for being a mysterious figure in the clan, but not many kept tabs on him. With his disappearance coinciding with the surge of energy in the clan estate, though, the Long Clan patriarch wasn’t too stupid. He immediately attributed the surge of energy to Old Ji’s doings. Who knew they’d had such a strong existence living in their clan?”
“Fuck!” The image of a weak man appeared in the patriarch’s head. “Bring Long Chen here, now! Wait, no! I’ll go myself!”
The people around him were puzzled. Why would the dignified patriarch lower himself such to go visit a useless piece of trash?
“Are you guys idiots? Get going! Follow me!” Veins popped in his neck as he shouted. He hated having his family doubt his actions, and his guts told him that he needed to head over to Long Chen’s living quarters. If that had happened... then Long Chen was going to bring some changes to this generation.
As they approached Long Chen’s quarters, the patriarch let loose a flurry of curses. “Shit!”
Long Chen’s house lay in ruins. As for he and Zeng Lei, they were alive, but buried, unconscious under the house’s remains.
It was really a mistake born from ignorance. What Old Ji had given the couple wasn’t just a mid-spiritual stone. The energy they’d felt from it had only been the energy leaking from the stone, which had been storing an incredible amount of compressed energy. Hell, the stone’s energy had been enough to even form cracks in space-time. This in itself showed just how impressive of an item it had been.
Still, Old Ji knew they’d be fine. After all, the stone was meant to be used with the cube. In fact, it was its core. Without the stone, the cube was mostly useless. As to how the cube and the stone worked, even Old Ji didn’t completely know. Only those of a special bloodline had the privilege of having that knowledge.
