"So are you now a fan of Black Souls?" Asked Hunter looking back at Devin as he pushed this key card into the door, beeping, then flashing green.
"Honestly, goth metal still isn't my thing."
Making his way inside shutting the door behind him, Hunter tossed his bag on the chair looking over at Devin shaking his head that he still wasn't a fan of them after seeing his reactions from the stage he really didn't believe what he was saying.
"But the lyrics are something . . . something I connect on, almost makes it bearable to listen to."
Devin wasn't really sure what words he was looking for in the moment, not sure how to explain it without showing too much of himself.
"So I'm bearable to listen too." Hunter laughed.
Walking off to the bathroom finding a towel to wash the paint off his face, the paint Devin actually quite liked on him. Once he was left alone his nerves started to get the best of him, asking himself why he was here again. That he should have just left with Smith, telling himself now there was no way Smith won't know that something was up between the two of them.
"I am curious as to what you mean by connect?" Asked Hunter peeping out of the bathroom door leaning against the frame as he dried his face off tossing the towel back on to the sink.
"You know I don't like this little game of yours." Stated Devin.
"What game?"
Hunter pushed himself off the door frame eyeing Devin as he moved closer to him making it look like he was headed straight for him but moved to the fridge at the last second pulling a bottle from the freezer, getting two shot glasses from the counter top flipping them over filling them to the brim.
"This game." He motioned between the two of them, "You know what I'm already thinking and feeling yet you ask me anyway, pretending you don't know."
Hunter smiled, tossing back both shots after Devin shook his head he was good, eyes looking at him, "Yet you're the one always ending up here with me. If you ask me I would think you liked the game or at least me."
Opening his mouth then closing it again not ready for it to be flipped back on him like it was, then asking himself why was he even shocked by the move.
"I am curious about the so-called connection but if you prefer to talk about this game I apparently play that's fine too."
Hunter was curious; he saw that Devin got and understood his words as they were sung but he liked to know what exactly he took away from them, what really caused him to connect with them. Yeah he could see that Devin was fighting his true urges constantly up against the fact that he was gay and didn't want anyone to know or even admit it to himself but there was so much more he wanted to know about him. Hunter not sure as to why this was for him, to be so fascinated with Devin.
Devin looked down at his hands as Hunter poured two more shots for himself, hearing the glass clank on the counter top as he tossed them back. He had a valid point about always finding a way to end up here with him. Doing more than just teasing himself in the process, allowing himself to come here was temptation he needed to avoid but yet he wanted to be near Hunter. Part of him could relax when he was around the part that was always spun up tight and locked down. That part also still nagged at him saying how much Hunter could use it against him in the end. Devin never felt like anyone was on his side, everyone looked out for themselves and nothing more; it was natural.
"Just gonna stop talking now that I called you out?" Asked Hunter sitting the bottle to the side.
"No." Blurted Devin just to say something, "I'm just . . . just torn."
"Torn is a good place to begin."
Hunter wouldn't lie about what he was looking for from Devin but he could easily push those needs and wants to the side if it meant Devin actually talking and opening up to him. Moving from behind the counter, letting his fingers lace with Devin's much like before.
"Torn about the feelings you've always had, about expressing them, showing them to another. If you haven't noticed Devin I'm not one to judge or want to use it against you in some way."
Looking up from his hands feeling the warmth of Hunters smooth over his as he held them.
"People say a lot of things they don't mean, you wouldn't be the first to do so with me. "
It was safe to say that Devin had many issues beside the ones he felt he needed to hide from the world, trust was one of those. He no longer fully trusted anyone, even Smith he kept him at arm's length afraid of him getting to close just to burn him.
Hunter leaned forward allowing his forehead to rest against Devin's. Staying quiet for a long moment. The sweet honey scent of his breath washed around Devin as he stood there his body and mind wanting to be in the moment while also wanting to run away all in the same breath.
"Will you kiss me already. . ." Whispered Devin.
He knew that's what Hunter was waiting for and it sure as hell what he wanted, leaning in first meeting Hunter more than halfway. That was something he didn’t have to ask for more than once, letting his tongue mingle with his not bothering to ask for permission this time around. Devin's hands pull at the bottom of Hunter's shirt wanting it off. Breaking the kiss just long enough to pull his shirt off following suit with Devin's tossing both on the floor near them. Devin's hands running down his chest feeling every hard dip and curve as he did, fingers tracing the top band of his boxers finding himself in the same place as before.
Hunter could feel his hesitation. His mind was getting the best of him as he stood there, Hunter's lips moving across his neck finding that sweet spot he put to memory, sucking gently against the tender skin. Devin biting on his bottom lip the groan he was holding back slipping from his lips as he felt Hunter biting down on the slope of his neck. Hunter liked a vocal partner, finding pleasure from it.
Fingers pulling at the top of Devin's jeans getting the button to pop open breaking the kiss as he leaned over the breakfast bar grabbing the open bottle by the neck leading Devin by the front of his jeans towards the bedroom.
Taking a long drink from the bottle as he walked down the hallway, pulling Devin close, catching his gaze as he sat the bottle down on the nightstand. He saw the look in his silver eyes, a look of lust and want shown towards him for the first time ever. A look that made him feel good about himself kissing him deeper than he has before. Feeling his body give into Hunter once more like mush beneath him trying his best to not let his mind get the better of him.
