Steve struggled in anger to free himself from the wooden chair he was tied to… "I’ll kill you! You’re a dead man!"   He thundered…

"Temper , temper, easy, tiger… just give me the Intel I need, like your pets life depends on it"… Zaheed said as he tossed the antidote in the air and made claps before catching it again…

The scorpion venom was already having the best of me; I was slowly fading away… "don’t…. do…. It…boss."  I said with the last breath I had, before I passed out…

"What makes you think the military would keep such a dangerous weapon huh? We don’t have your stupid weapon anymore, dummy! You’ve been in the system once and you know exactly what the military does with such weapons. We destroyed it already! Now give her the antidote or I swear it I’ll rip you apart!!!" Steve said as he clutched his fist in rage…

"Hmmm… I believe you… the military will have to pay the cash equivalent then ($2.5 million) for your ransom of course. I’m sure you are worth the amount"… Zaheed said as he drew the antidote into a syringe and injected it in me. Now we count down. 5….4……3……2……1…… there….

"Huff… puffs" …  I took a deep breath as I regain consciousness… 

“You’re a dead man, scumbag. I promise you that”. I faintly said…

“You don’t ever shut your mouth, do you? I’ll be back soon”… Zaheed said as he exits the warehouse…

“What’s that grin on your face for, sergeant”? Steve asked…

“It worked, boss”… I replied as I revealed half of the sharp object in mouth to him…

Steve and I had planned to pressure Zaheed, get into his head and probably get him angry (an angry mind is a narrow mind)

Zaheed had a somewhat metal wrist band on his left arm (Zaheed was a south paw) which had a square shaped glass on it. The plan was to get him angry enough to strike, knowing fully well he’ll do it with his left arm where he wore the wrist band. That way, the square shaped glass on his metal wrist band may fall off and if it does, it’ll be our ticket to escape… 

So when Zaheed hit me twice on the nose, remember? The square shaped glass on his wrist band broke, and the larger chunk of it dropped on the collar of my shirt. I quickly stuck out my tongue and sneaked it into my mouth –underneath my tongue; it has been there ever since…

“Well done sergeant”… Steve said as he quickly flipped his chair, turning his back against me. I spat the object into his palms and then flipped my own chair too, so that we had our backs against each other. I moved my chair close until I could hold hands with Steve’s, then he started cutting me loose and when he was done, I quickly did the same for him… We freed ourselves but still pretended to be tied to the chair… 

I was still faint, recovering from the scorpion venom so we needed to buy time for my recovery before we unleash the element of surprise and escape…

“Prepare for the worst, sergeant. We only know Zaheed comes in here with just two guards; we have no idea how much security is outside this ware house”…

“Copy that, boss. No mission is too risky… no sacrifice is too big. Duty comes first!

What’s the plan”?

“You’ll take-on the guards; we’ll exit the warehouse disguised in their uniforms. I’ll handle Zaheed”… Steve said as he cracked his knuckles and neck bones…
