Humanity was granted the ability to unlock powerful magical abilities at the cost of a powerful memory, a body part or function, or even the ability to feel certain emotions.
In the kingdom of Sunder, young Rune Leto runs away from home after his father dies while following the orders of the king. He finds a new home in the Animal Kingdom of Faasa, where he trains to grow strong enough to seek out those responsible for his father's death.
10 years later, Rune's sister, Kezia, finds him and recruits him on a mission to rescue both their kingdom and the very king he abandoned from the clutches of Queen Corvina of Lordroff.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: I've been drawing this series for a year now and have improved quite a bit from when I started. I redrew the first chapter to submit to Tezuka and now I'm uploading it here! Chapters 2-8 are pretty rough due to using pencil and marker in place of screen tones, but I've since moved to all digital. Hope you can look past the early art and enjoy!
