Is this really happening is Moonlight REALLY talking to me. My heart starts racing I try to talk to her, but the words won’t come out of my mouth. “Are you busy? Is now not a good time to talk?” she says kindly. “N-no now’s fine it’s just, I have to go pick up my little brother from school.” “Oh, what grade is he in?” “fifth” “really my brothers in sixth grade” she says with a smile, a smile I can’t seem to get enough of.

 “Do you have a car? Or do you walk?” “I walk” “oh well if you want, we could take my car and talk on the way there.” She looks slightly down to the ground, I can see the blush rising to her cheeks, its adorable. Normally if someone asked to give me a ride I would have said no, but for some reason I agreed to her offer.

She has a green CJ-5 jeep with the doors still attached. I’m surprised when I see it, it’s often the lesser known models of jeep. The inside of it is nice and I have plenty of room to sit even though I’m 6,2.

  It becomes apparent how close we are to each other and my heart starts racing. A sudden urge comes over me, an urge that hungers for Moonlights lips and more. I try to put my attention on something else so that don’t give into the urge. 

  “I’m sorry for how I acted this morning I wasn’t feeling good,” Moonlight breaks the silence. “Oh well I’m glade your okay, I was worried about you” I blurt out not thinking, and I immediately regret it. I can feel the heat rising to my face, Moonlight looks at me blush run across her face making my heart race again.

We get to my brothers school she parks in the parking lot, we get out and walk to were everyone gets let out, we get there early giving us time to talk.

  “Did you go here as a kid” I ask trying to make small talk, “yep it’s the only elementary school in town” “oh,” embarrassment washes over me, I’m such an idiot. “Where did you move here from?” I’m surprised by her question but it’s probably obvious that I’m not from here, “San Diego California” she looks up at me with an astonished face.“Really my mom was born in San Diego” “seriously!” “yep” she says with a smile on her face again. Without thinking we move a little bit closer to each other. “Why did your mom move here?” I ask, “when my mom was still little her parents moved here because it was too expensive there” “oh I see”. 

     Moonlight suddenly begins to look nervous, and looks back down at the ground, “um s-so the reason I asked you to talk, was to see if you would want to come to my h-house?”

   I’m stunned by her words and every inch of me wants to say yes, but then again, I don’t even really know her. After I think it over for a little bit, I am finally able to respond, “I would but I can’t leave my little brother home alone”. She looks up at me again, her face a little red “he could come with and handout with my brother I’m sure he wouldn’t mind” she looks at me, hope filled in her face and I can’t help but say yes. “okay I just have to tell my mom,” “okay” she says looking up at me again with a smile but this time we can’t look away from each other. I’m lost in her beautiful green, hazel eyes, we start to come closer to one another without even realizing it. We’re so close to each other we can start to feel each other’s body heat and I can hear her heart beating rapidly. I begin to lean my face down to hers without thought, and she leans hers up. Are lips are so close to touching, “RING RING”. We then realize how close we are to one another and swiftly move away.

It takes about thirty seconds till I spot Felipe he comes running towards me, but he then slows down, a baffled face comes over him. Instead of walking right to me he walks right up to Moonlight, she smiles then bends down to talk to him, “Hello are you Enzo’s brother” “yes, I am… are you my brothers girlfriend?” I’m mortified by what he’s said, and I know my face has turned a bright red, Moonlight also looks surprised she too has red on her cheeks. “Yes, I’m your brothers friend, my name is Moonlight, but you can call me Luna for short, what’s your name?” “My names Felipe, so your just my brothers friend,” “yep” “oh so will you be my girlfriend” I’m mortified once again, how can he just say that. 

  “Yes I can be your girl-friend,” a smile comes across Felipe’s face. “Say Felipe would you like to come over and hang out at my house you can even play with my little brother” she says in a sweet voice, Felipe’s face lights up “really!” “Yep, we have lots of games you can play” “awesome,” “let’s go right now”. We then head back to Moonlights car we let Felipe get in first since he’s sitting in the back but before Moonlight goes to the other side of the car I stop her “ hey Moonlight,” she turns around “yeah?” “Sorry about Felipe with the whole girlfriend thing” she gives me a smile, “don’t worry about it and my friends and family call me Luna since you’re a friend you can too.” I smile back at her “okay…Luna.” We then both get in the car and drive to her house, It’s the big Tudor house from before, we get up to the front door Moonlight turns the door handle and opens the door.
