"Mother." It was said breathlessly and full of emotions. Luna beamed, but also started to tear up. She wrapped her arm around her mother and puller her into her room.
"Oh, my dear moon." Her mother replied quickly stepping into her daughter's new room and wrapping herself around her. She stroked her daughter's hair as she felt the tremble move through her body.
"Mother, I am so sorry!" Luna said.
"Shhhh, shhh. Please don't worry about it." Her mother tried to reassure her.
Luna pulled back slightly and looked at her mother, brushing her mother's hair out of her face. Luna suddenly had a very serious look on her face.
"Father didn't hurt you, did he? I hoped with my apology he'd leave you alone."
Shile stroked her daughter's cheek. How was she going to live in that dark house without this light around? She didn't know, but she knew she'd have to find away. "No, my sweet child, your apology helped calm him down. He was upset with himself for not being bold enough, to be honest with the vampires."
"Richard and Rena, mama," Luna said sternly to her mother.
Shile smiled at her daughter. Looking at her daughter, she took in her state, realizing that she just woke up. She laughed lightly and turned Luna around towards a mirror.
"Did a mouse roll around in your hair?" Shile said with a laughing.
Luna covered her mouth with both of her hands, blushing wildly, "OH MY GOSH! I was just shamelessly watching Jue in the garden. I'm so glad he didn't look up at me."
Shile laughed again, "Come daughter, please let me brush your hair. After all, this may be the last time I will ever get to do this for you."
Luna reached for her brush on her dresser, before she paused, almost frozen in time. She adsorbed what her mother said, and slowly, it dawned on her. She may never see her mother again. She looked at her mother, tears suddenly flooding down her cheeks. "Mom," she whispered.
Shile quickly went to her daughter, brushing at her tears, "Shhhhh baby. Shhhhh. Please don't cry, if you keep doing this, your mother is going to be a mess and you know how your father will get." she said softly.
Luna grabbed her mother's hands pressing them against her cheeks and mouth as she let the tears silently fall down her cheeks. They slowed. She kept her mother's hands against her lips in a long, loving, and grateful kiss. She finally took a deep breath and let it out slowly, releasing her mother's hands.
Shile reached across her daughter to grab the brush. She circled her finger in the air, signaling Luna to turn around. Luna sat down on the seat in front of the mirror. With her back to her mother, she never saw a couple of tears slowly slide down her mother's face.
