There was another sigh, this time a slight hint of annoyance behind it, “I’m supposed to be your fantasy date, Yuudai-san. It’s all about what you want and that includes how I look.”

“Can my fantasy not dress however they feel comfortable?”

Yet another sigh. Suzu didn’t realize there was a way to fail at hiring an escort, but he had definitely found a way to. He felt like he should already be putting aside money for a sizable tip.

‘Goodbye to all of my savings and then some,’ he thought woefully.

“Yuudai-san considering the prices people pay, for me specifically, they expect me to be their perfect date, the exact person they want to be with because that’s what they’re paying for. And my goal is to be everything you want.”

“Well, I really do want you to be comfortable? I mean it’s five full days. Seems unfair to expect you not to be.”

There was a pause and then a light laugh. Suzu decided he really liked that sound.

“That’s sweet Yuudai-san, but you’re the customer and it’s my job to please you completely, which is what I want to do. Let’s try another tactic; what do you like?”

“Um, like in a guy?”

“Mmhmm, I have limits when it comes to the bedroom—I won’t top—but outside of that I can fit almost every type.”

Suzu thought about it for a moment. He supposed he had a type, thinking back to his previous relationships. He had even dated Arata way back when—which admittedly had been his best relationship in some time. That thought made him a bit sad if he was honest with himself.

Ok, he needed to get his thoughts sorted. He had a question to answer.

“Uh well, I typically go for charismatic types, friendly, laid back, outgoing, I guess a bit athletic and sporty? Jock types I guess, kind of? I’ve… never really put what I like into words.”

There was another pause, this one much longer than the usual. He was pretty sure he heard Hoshi mutter under his breath.

And he was also pretty sure he heard him mutter: “Ah, a basic.”

‘Great,’ he thought to himself, ‘I really am coming off even worse than I initially thought.’

What do you do when your best friend/ex-boyfriend expects you to show up to his wedding with a date? Well, if you're Suzu Yuudai you mostly panic and assume there are only three options: call an ex (ugh), wait to see who your friend sets you up with (nope), or hire someone. But, he's not so desperate to buy a boyfriend... right?

Or: Kit takes a cliche trope but makes it gay.
