The resort was gorgeous and Saku seemed absolutely thrilled with this part of the trip. Suzu looked down at the redhead who had excitedly slipped out of the car and looked up at the place.
“Ok, this is totally worth being near the ocean. It’s huge! No wonder you could afford me!”
“Err well, actually, Arata paid for half of it. Part of being in the wedding party.”
“Mmm well, impressive nonetheless.”
Suzu blushed and led Saku inside, “I’ll get us checked in, ok?”
“Don’t take too long, darling,” Saku said with a wink before he went to wander the lobby, taking in the various features.
But as Suzu was checking in he had a sudden realization that oh, duh, they were going to be sharing a room. And a bed.
That wasn’t a huge problem except for the fact Saku had already tempted him twice and he didn’t think he was doing a very good job of resisting.
Suzu leaned forward over the desk, “Um, is there any way I can get a room with two queens instead?”
The young lady somehow managed to look chipper even as she frowned and answered Suzu.
“I’m so sorry sir, but due to the various events happening this weekend, all of our rooms are booked. But we do still have your suite with the king bed ready to go. Here’s your key and we’ll take all your bags up for you.”
Suzu reluctantly took the room key, nodding as they took the bags.
He would be sharing a room and a bed with Saku. The escort he had paid for. And of course, having an escort usually meant…
He shook his head. He needed to NOT think about these things. Saku was here to be his pretend boyfriend. To keep Arata from playing matchmaker. That was it. And he was sticking to that.
Looking around, he found Saku looking over the resort’s restaurant menu, a quizzical look on his face.
“You want to grab lunch? We won’t be having dinner until 8 when we meet up with the rest of the wedding party and family.”
“Hmm,” Saku turned from the menu, “not here. They’re charging far too much for ingredients that are both in season and easily accessible. Not to mention their options seem unoriginal and basic.”
Suzu blinked in surprise, not at the fact Saku had just reached for his arm, but at this unexpected culinary critique.
“Oh, I guess you probably get to try a lot of expensive restaurants in your line of work?”
“Mmm, well, yes. But I have some expertise of sorts.”
He wanted to ask more, to get a little bit more about the real Saku, but before he could say anything, he heard a familiar and excited call.
“Suzu-san!!”
“Oh god no, not yet,” Suzu muttered, freezing up a bit against Saku.
The redhead just moved closer, giving Suzu’s arm a squeeze as Arata and Hinata walked over. Suzu tried to see if there was any way out, any kind of escape as his best friend and his blonde fiance walked closer. But there was no way out. This was happening. Arata and Hinata were standing in front of the two of them and Suzu couldn’t get out of this no matter how badly he wanted to. The small blonde looked excitedly between Suzu and Saku, eagerly awaiting an introduction. Arata raised an eyebrow and Suzu was screaming internally.
He had really been hoping there’d be just a bit more time alone with Saku before he had to make introductions. This was already going to fall apart, and they’ve barely even started.
