Sometimes I feel like stories set in modern times don't take note of how much social media really influences the world. News travels really fast, even if it's just a quick sighting of an unusual event. Superheroes in particular are a big spectacle, and you know people are posting all about it bigtime. I may not include fake feeds in every scene but I feel like it'll be fun to include a little bit of fake-Twitter in some of my pages.
If you like the Sparrow, consider supporting me on Patreon! $2 lets you see all finished pages as I complete them, and $4/month gets you ALL my comic page WIPs, bonus art, and more!
What do you think fake-Twitter is called in the Sparrowverse?
Welcome to the Sparrow, a superhero comic of mythological proportions!
Imagine if superheroes were beings of mythology and folklore around the world. Join Scott as he discovers he’s the son of the Greek god Apollo, and follow his introduction to the world of the supernatural. Guided by Markos, the Prophet of Olympus, Scott dons the mantle of the Sparrow and becomes a superhero in a world that needs them.
The Sparrow is an online comic that mixes mythology and folklore with superheroes! There’s some urban fantasy thrown in for good measure. All the characters draw their inspiration from monsters and tales of folklore and mythology. Some are demigods, but many other heroes and villains are the supernatural creatures only known before in stories.
