"Hah! Hah!" A girl trained outside her house, cheerfully shouting. "I'll show those demons..."

"VERONICA!" A stressed woman screamed. "Get the FUCK back inside and water the FUCKING plants.

"I-" Veronica, startled, immediately ran to fulfill the woman's orders.

"If Destiny hasn't started training yet, I'm going to kick her ass..." The woman muttered to herself.

"Um, mother?" An orange-haired girl asked, "should I go get more food from Mr. Fergusson?"

The mother gave no reply. "Mother?" The girl asked again. This time, the woman swung her hand. "Ow!" The girl whaled.

"I'M BUSY! Aren't you happy you're done today!? Don't bother me with stupid questions like that."

"Yes ma'am. I've learned my lesson..." The girl replied.

The mother walked away, onto a long pathway to the arena. There, a young girl stood around a pile of wood logs.

"Hah! Hah!" She yelled as her arm met the wood. "Ugh... I'm taking a brea-"

"DESTINY!" the girl jumped in surprise and made sure to get up. "You aren't slacking off, are you? If you don't improve, we're doomed for the next thousand years."

That thought itself made Destiny shudder. She hadn't improved significantly for 3 years, and even then it was small. She wanted to make progress, but her ability hadn't come to her yet. They're plan to destroy the demon king's child would fail immensely if she couldn't get past a single guard. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and she was not going to miss it.
