After a while, it was like nothing really happened. Erien was sitting in the kitchen, focused on reading over a random recipe he was face deep in his phone over until he placed the small device down and hopped off the counter. Lunar was sitting in the living room, his gaze set outside and not down on Earth.
“Lunar?” Erien wandered over, placed a hand on his arm with a smile,” You okay?”
“Hm? Yeah, I’m fine. Just, are you okay? This morning was…”
Lunar stopped after he saw the look on Erien’s face. It was expressionless but his eyes were trying to avoid his gaze. Like trying to avoid Lunar’s words with his mind.
He let out a soft sigh and nodded before leaning up and grabbed for his jacket,” I do need to head out though now. Midnight was left at my apartment alone. I need to check on her too and then head to work to get ready for tonight. Please come by, okay?’
“As I could refuse,” Erien smiled looking off to the side a bit,” Mr Saviour.”
Lunar was at the door with his large pale hand on the handle when he heard words fall from the young man’s mouth. Saviour?
“Did you just say, Saviour?”
“What? No! I said, Salvatore! I know your name means Saviour but jeez,” Erien gave off a dismissive laugh before waving bye to him. The clear red blush on his face as the Byzantium male left. Lunar was certain that Erien did call him that. It slipped out smoothly and was not restrained. Part of his lip twitched, pleased at the thought.
“Right.”

Erien skipped going to Salvatore’s Twilight. He raced off to Gedeon's, some of his co-workers jumping at the sudden rush of the doors opening to reveal Erien.
“Nova?” One of the strippers waved him over. He shuffled to her, freaking out as he latched onto her arm,” Girl I have no idea what to do! Help me!”
➼
“So, you like this nightclub owner. Big deal! Nova sweetie, it’s all good. You just got to be real about it. Even if that means making some moves.”
Some of the strippers were sitting on the stage with Erien in the middle of them. All of them were so noisy and in love with other people’s dating lives and whatever else, it was like having a bunch of older sisters to come to.
Erien had his head on his knees, conflicted in so many different ways he really didn’t know what to do. He realized he knew for some time he did, but the feelings of them were just so small he assumed they were just like, friendly like feelings or family.
“I wonder if I should go now then. But I need to go home and change. I can’t go to a place in just a T-shirt and jeans.”
“Just where one of the tops here and whatever else. Psh, not like anyone will know. This place is like a second home, sweetheart.”
➼
Erien tapped the toe of his shoe against the table he was at, hiding in the red velvet booth in the back. He still hadn’t come to terms with the fact of his feelings nor with the fact if he should really make the first moves. Whether they were words or actions really. It didn’t matter at this point. He would probably just shrivel up and just cry.
“Fancy seeing you back here. You are normally at the bar.”
One of the bartenders had found Erien. She was smiling, glass in hand as she slid into the booth,” So why are you all cornered back here like a puppy experiencing fireworks for the first time? Hiding from the boss?”
Erien nodded with a sheepish smile. He kept his gaze down to the polished table, his reflection fuzzy from the lighting. The bartender giggled and shrugged a shoulder,” Well, I’ll tell you, I’ll keep my mouth shut where you are, but he is searching for you. Better keep a-movin’ sweet pea. Before the god gets you.”
Erien watched her slip away into the coward of bodies. Somehow the bartender’s words had relaxed him, made him happy that Lunar was looking for him but yet…
“Just forget that I am here. Forget that I am here okay?” He muttered to himself with his eyes closed, leaning his head back on the booth couch as he listened to the music. Soon it faded, the music becoming numb to his ears as he leaned back and relaxed, drifting off slowly.
After coming to sometime later, Erien found himself lying on the booth still, the club music still blasting away and the crowd noises blending into the noise.
“Well,” the chills ran down Erien’s spine as he heard a deep voice chuckle from ahead. He looked up only to meet eyes with Lunar as he glanced away quickly. Lunar knelt down, arms propped on the table as he smiled softly.
“You were hiding from me. Weren’t you?”
“No.”
“Erien.”
“Maybe.”
Lunar gave out a defeated sigh as he patted the table,” Look if it’s about that kiss and then the morning, I’ll sweep it under the rug, okay? Like it never happened if that’s what you want. Stuff happens.”
Erien looked at Lunar, somewhat hurt by the fact he said anything like that. But he really couldn’t blame him. He’d be the same way if it was reserved.
“No, it’s okay. I’m just being anti-social now. I’ve got conflicting feelings going on right now. I thought coming here to a place that’s comfortable, would help me.”
“Wouldn’t your place be better? It’s quieter.”
“As dumb as this will sound, I may like peace and quiet and alone time, but after a while, it starts to get to me. Badly and there are times I do care and don’t wanna spiral into insanity at the moment. Or like ever, but still.”
Lunar nodded. Understanding it even if it didn’t make sense at the same time.
He stood up and looked around, seeing that soon was closing time. Lunar smiled turning back,” I’ll be right back. Don’t leave. Just stay.”
Erien blinked confused as he started to see groups of people leaving, some still dancing their way to the door, others just far too drunk now. Closing time, so he should really be leaving but guess has to stay put instead.
Once Lunar came back, he placed two glasses down, thankful with just water. Anything liquor sounded displeasing right now.
“Can I get something off my chest, Nova?” Lunar had his arms crossed over his chest. Defensive and bold. That’s what the atmosphere had come to now. A cold sweat hit and it left Erien nervous.
“You know you can just call me Erien. Nova is just the stage name I have.” Lunar nodded, no smile, just seriousness. And a long silence. Killing silence.
“Lunar?” Erien cut into the silence, leaning up towards him. Lunar turned his head, eyes the same dark shade he had seen from last time. Invisible flinch was quickly followed by his whole waist being pulled tight.
“Lunar!? Hey!”
“Do you think you can not go to work for a while again? For some reason, I-” Lunar stopped himself before he continued his sentence. He released his petite victim from his deathening hold. Erien didn’t move though, only kept his eyes on the male before him who looked more defeated than he had ever.
“What reason should I have to not go to work for a while? Coming from you then. I mean, it wouldn’t really matter, I can choose when to come and go. That’s how that works.”
“Just don’t go for a while. I wanted to see you more. Not just at night time. Is that okay?”
Something inside Erien flustered. He wanted to smile but held it in so it didn’t give away too much. Erien leaned back on Lunar, stretching his arms out a bit with a sly feline-like smirk,” On one condition!” Lunar perked up, the defeated look swapped with a neutral look but his whole face showing he was actually happy.
Erien dead inside some, his heart flipping around from it all. He flicked his finger on Lunar’s chin with a smile,” I wanna see Midnight again! I want fluffy!”
