Awesome to see you back and healthy! A bit of my hair story: being black with super kinky hair, which is HIGH maintenance, I always envied people with straight flowing hair (a comb going straight through hair? Couldn’t be me). Growing up, my hair was always braided for ease. Now, there are a lot of products for black hair that make it easier to wear naturally, which I am forever thankful for and really helped me be confident with my own hair. For me still it’s hard to maintain my hair though. A few years back so shaved half of it and it was the most liberating thing. I now wanna get a big ol’ undercut and dread the top, but my mom says not until I learn to take care of my hair. I understand what she means, but me wanting to cut and dread my hair isn’t just for the low maintenance (though that is a big factor lol). I want a more masculine hairstyle because that’s what I like and feel comfortable in. Sorry mom, but I’m grown lol
