"AHH!" I screamed for help. What had I gotten myself into? My desire to kill the demon king lessened as my desire to live took over. It felt like I was falling, with blinding light swarming around me. I then saw his face, and he looked like he was ready to die.

"I'll.. get you..." Then, my world went dark.

"Hey, are you ok?" A scratchy voice called out. "I'm Victor." As I opened my eyes, I stayed silent. "It looks like we're... somewhere else." I then fell back into my deep slumber and woke up hours later.

"Hello?" I called out. I was surrounded by a field of beautiful, tall flowers. I felt as I had just woken up from a bad dream. And then, I saw him. He was sitting down in the valley, only a few feet away from me. I cut off a piece of my shirt and prepared it so I could subdue him. I crept over, slowly, towards his body.

"If you want to kill me, it is okay." He spoke out. My eyes widened. "But if you do, I don't think you'd survive long. We aren't in our time. I spoke to some of the locals, and they told me. Do you know what today's date is?" He asked. "The twenty-seventh of September, two-thousand thirty-nine."

I shivered. "You must be lying!" I exclaimed. "What trick did your father pull?!"

"I am asking myself that as well." He responded. "We should get going, no?" This boy was pissing me off, but in the end, he was right. 

We walked for about an hour until we got to the city. It was full of lights, and moving pictures! It was beautiful and bustling, with so many people moving around. I wandered away from Victor, shuffling over to a pair of girls.

"Oh my goooodddd, you're outfit is like, so cool!" One of them said exaggeratively. "Are you a cosplayer?"

"I... don't know? Hey, have you seen any demons?" I responded. As the word 'demon' came out of my mouth, their eyes told me they knew what I meant. 

"Y-yeah... t-there's some in a castle, just behind those trees..." They answered. "But that's all we know!" After that, the pair ran off amongst the crowd.

"Hey, looks like you got some info off them," Victor said behind me. "so where are we going?"
