“….WHAT!?”

  Moonlight and I are both surprised by Mrs. Alezado’s answer. “Mama what do you mean he’s my mate I thought tha-,” I’m so confused that I cut off Moonlight mid-sentence. “HOLD ON! are you guys serious, your really w-werewolf’s? And what do you mean by MATE!” Moonlight and Mrs. Alezado turn at me, a serious look on their faces assures me that everything they say... is true. “Yes, we are very serious about being werewolf’s and when I say mate I mean soulmate.” Mrs. Alezado’s expression changes in an instant from serious to defensive. “Why? do you think my daughter isn’t good enough for you?”

  And there it is the ultimate moment when you know you screwed up, big time.“N-no no I like Moonlight it’s just that” I pause trying not to sound rude, “ it’s just that we don’t really know each other.” Moonlight is silent the whole time I’m talking, her face staring at the ground. Oh no, did I just offend her, NO what do I do now? “…Your right Enzo, you don’t know Moonlight, but when you first saw her did you feel something? like you couldn’t look away from her, and every second you kept looking at her made you want to get closer to her, and when you were apart from her all you ever thought about WAS her.”

   That’s right, all I could ever think about yesterday and today was Moonlight. “Even if you don’t know each other very well right now you have plenty of time to learn more about each other. So, let me ask you a different question Enzo, do you want to know more about Moonlight and get to know everything about her?”

  Do I, want to know more about moonlight? I quickly look over at Moonlight, trying to see if I can find an answer, but I already know the answer without any need of reassurance, It’s yes. “I do, I want to know everything about Moonlight.” Moonlight looks up at me, her eyes sparkling, a subtle hint of joy and relief in them. “Well then,” I turn my head from moonlight to look at Mrs. Alezado, a devious smile on her face, “it seems we’re all on the same page now.”

The smile is on her face leaves me a little uneasy. “Enzo, we have a pack meeting today at five I would like you to be there.” A pack meeting? “Mama do you think that’s a good idea?” Moonlight asks, “of course I’ve already discussed it with your father and he said it was okay.” Moonlight and her mom continue to bicker with one another while I’m left confused...again. “Um sorry but what’s a pack meeting?” “Oh right, today we are going to have a meeting with everyone in our pack about tomorrow since it’s a full moon. It will also be Moonlights first full moon since she turned eighteen.” “Her first full moon?” “Yes, for born werewolves once they turn eighteen they have there first shift into their wolf form the first full moon of them being eighteen, and for moonlight that will be tomorrow.” While it’s still a little bit confusing and hard to believe I’m just gonna have to go with it for now,I mean what else can I do.“I see, so dose that mean that you can’t turn people into werewolf’s like in the movies and tv shows?” “Well, you can, but there is only a 10% probability of the turning being successful.” “Oh, what happens if the turning isn’t successful?” Mrs. alezado hesitates for a moment before answering, “….The person Being turned will die.”

After a few seconds of awkward silence, Mrs.Alezado starts to head back into the kitchen. “I’m gonna start cooking for the meeting dinner,” Mrs alezado says before disappearing behind a wall. “Meeting dinner?” I ask Moonlight, my eyes not looking into hers. “Yeah, my mom makes a big dinner for all the pack members and once the meetings over we all eat together. It’s like having one big family dinner.” Moonlight has a kind and genuine smile on her face, she must really love her pack. “Well then if there’s gonna be food I guess I could stay for it,” I say jokingly. Me and Moonlight both laugh, the energy between us is different know though less awkward and more comfortable. “Do you want to go up stairs? We can play games on my Ebox, if your into that stuff,” I’m a bit surprised that Moonlight plays Ebox but I love video games so I agree to the offer and we go up stairs. We stop to check in on Felipe and Leo, there playing yell of duty on Leo’s Ebox, me and Moonlight then head to her room. Her rooms nice and clean, there’s a tv hanging on her wall the Ebox is on a tv stand below it. “What games do you want to play?” “Do you have minbuild?” “Duhhh,” she says letting out a little giggle, making me blush. “So cute,” I mumble. “What?” Oh no did she her me? “Ah n-nothing, let’s get started with the game,” I try changing the conversation. We play minbuild for while until we hear a door open and close. We go back down stairs into the kitchen to investigate. When we enter there’s a big and tall muscular man talking to Mrs.alezado.“Dad your home,” dad? Oh no, the man turns around looking at Moonlight and me.
