"Yaaawwwwnnn... What time is it...?" Victor arose and asked.
"How should I know?" I snapped. "But it is promising that we aren't dead yet." I glared at his eyes with hatred. I was asking myself how I agreed, but by that time it was too late. After we had gotten back home, I'd kill him. But for now, he seemed useful enough.
"We should get moving. I'm sure the guy at that demon tower will have some answers, right?" I asked.
"Hopefully they'll send us home, but we should stay on guard." He replied. Then, we started our journey to the castle. It wasn't too far away, only taking about 45 minutes for us to walk there.
The castle was uninhabited, at least on the outside. "Well that's underwhelming..." Victor said.
"I swear, if there isn't anyone inside..." I replied. We walked up to the old fashioned castle drawbridge, to no surprise, was closed. "Why don't we find a window or something to get inside?" I asked Victor. "The only problem is that we don't have anything to climb inside with..."
"Hold on." Suddenly, a giant skeletal figure appeared in front of my eyes. "Artemis, can you give us a hand?" Victor called out.
"Holy shit- is that whats gonna help us up?" Fear crept into me, and the question again arose, 'why am I working with the demon king again?' but there was no time for that.
"Grab my hand!" Victor said. "It's fine, Artemis won't hurt you. Probably." I snatched Victor's hand and climbed onto the large moving skeleton, and we opened a ventilation hatch.
"Gross... What's that smell in here? And the smoke?" I asked.
"Probably a gas, I'm guessing. Don't really know what it's used for though..." Victor muttered a reply to me and himself. Before we knew it, we were crawling right above the throne room.
"Okay, this is our only chance!" I whispered to Victor. "On 3, 2, 1..!"
