It's super unclear what this dream machine is or how it works or if it exists or when/if it was used or what any of that has to do with demons. I still don't know what's going on. The whole story pulled an "It was all a dream" right near the start and seemed to shift to another story entirely. Who was the girl pining over Shoebrandkid? Do any of those people exist? Do other people share this dream world? What's going on?
