Last night was too much for no reason. Anxiety, sadness, that whole overload, Erien knew it was an overreaction. But it just hurt some so the process of it wasn’t taken correctly. He knew that.
He laid in bed, scrolling through his Instagram, notifications from followers and his friends about the pictures he posted of himself and his friends at work about a week ago. Everyone had posted pictures of the night Erien wore the Devil outfit and had just let loose. That was the most loved night for sure.
“Psh.” Erien couldn’t help but let out a muffled giggle before he turned his phone off and tossed it to the side of his bed. Some courage to fall asleep with a phone in bed and believe you WON’T break it with your movements.
“Hm, I’ll apologize tomorrow. He looked upset so it’s the least I can do.” Erien stretched, grabbing his body pillow and snuggled to it. Sleep was kind tonight with a quick out like the lights.
Dreamland was, mmhm, pleasant. Pfft.
Erien found himself lying on top of Lunar in the dream. Woke up from the sudden grunt noise that vibrated in his chest. Erien’s face was back to the crimson colour that he was ALSO famous for.
The familiar strong hold that Lunar had was in the dream. Keeping Erien in place on top so the hug was last.
The only defeat of the dream was being woken up by a bang just when dream Lunar was about to kiss.
Erien sprang from his bed, his long T-shirt that hung on him like a dress floated upon his body in midair as Erien touched the carpeted floor. He flung his door open, raced out into the living room and found his cockatoo on top of what made the long noise. Lunar. Fucking. Salvatore. How ironic.
Erien had to frown to hold back his laughter. It looked like the large purple-haired male had gotten into a fight with a tiny weenie bird and LOST. Aitne was on top of his chest, his feathers ruffled up like he had just gotten into a fight too.
“Aitne. Shoulder bub.” Aitne flew over, planted himself on Erien’s shoulder with a ruffle.
“Good morning to you,” Erien helped his visitor to their feet with a quick adjustment.
Lunar apologized for waking him up. In all sense, he wanted to surprise Erien with a small box of doughnuts he had gotten on the way here to share between them both. Lunar’s eyes were locked onto the baggy T-shirt the petite male before him had slept in. Cute raced through his mind like a child on a sugar high.
“Just, as usual, make yourself at home. I’ll be right back. I’m going to get changed.”
“You don’t have to if you don’t want to.”
Erien pressed his lips together. A thin pale line where his fair lips used to be was not white line with a puzzled expression complimenting it.
“I need to put shorts on...Lunar.”
Just. Silence. Neither of them spoke about it. Erien just scurried off for his shorts and to mess with the fluff of bed head he had.

The box of doughnuts had been emptied rather quickly. With the help of one squished against a large male’s face that let the pastry flop to the ground as he jumped the couch and chased the jerk that did it to him. A shrieked laugh and feet slapping against the fake wood flooring around the apartment followed after a thunderstorm like noise of stomps. Soon, Lunar had caught Erien and smeared the frosting onto his cheek in revenge.
“Oh gross! I don’t want to be sticky!”
“Is that a bad thing? Sometimes being sticky is fun.”
Erien looked Lunar dead in the eyes. Erien only had one of two ways for that joke to go. And I think we all know which way he took it. Especially from the wicked gleam in Lunar’s unwaved gaze on him. An amused smirk on the smaller male’s face performed with a click of his tongue,” True.”
That through Lunar off guard, Erien took that chance to flee.

“Sorry about last night,” Erien panted soft. Lunar had finally stopped chasing him. Only after Erien had tripped over the air and gave the floor a painful hug. Lunar was cleaning his face just as Erien finished up,” What do you mean?”
“I left you last night. I knew you wanted to hang out there but I just wasn’t feeling well. I think all the excitement and good times made me feel uneasy again so I need a small break. To recollect myself again.”
Lunar’s eyes flickered in the mirror reflection on himself. Erien was looking at him too. The smiling kind which made Lunar’s breathing stop for a second in his throat that Erien always gave him. He looked down chuckling,” Look, it’s okay. You didn’t look well. I was worried about you so that’s why I didn’t want you to go. If as long as you are feeling better and will tell me from now on instead of running off, we can take time away from it and just relax by ourselves.”
Erien laughed leaving the bathroom. His arms folded behind his head as he marched to the kitchen,” Understood! Understood!”
As Erien spun around to continue on with his words, Lunar wrapped an arm around him. The warming embrace that was pleasant and familiar. Erien wrapped his arms around Lunar’s torso and smiled,” You really are a hugger.”
“Only to you that is.”
“Huh?”
Lunar smiled with his tongue stuck out a bit playfully.

In a matter of seconds, both of them were on the couch again. Lunar held Erien against his chest as Erien flicked through the movies and shows on Hulu. Because screw Netflix. (Sorry to those you actually like Netflix.)
Once they found a show they both agreed on, they sat in silence. Focused on the show. Erien, though, was too focused on the fist Lunar hand that was balling Erien’s shirt in. He looked up, Lunar had looked at him too.
“Jesus! Don’t! Why are you looking at me?” With Lunar caught in the act, it startled Erien to the point his heart felt that it was literally going to burst.
“Sorry. So thinking.”
“About what?”
There was no need for a worded answer. Another set of actions answered the question perfectly.
A hand cupped and caressing another’s cheek with lips pressed to another set and held there. Yeah. There was really no need for any words.
