The Raven

Forever raven (part 1)

Forever raven (part 1)

Nov 19, 2020

I tried to let the feeling of being loved and loving others wash over me because that seemed to be the hidden door to my power.

I was feeding on that energy of light to increase my power; to explore it; to truly see what I can do; to finally fully understand my power without being manipulated by others.

Focusing on my friends instead of my enemies, trying to remember all the good memories I had with my best friend that was the key.

I remembered how we used to talk about the most ridiculous things and have fun. How we shared our thoughts and hobbies, and how easy it was to understand each other. She talked about the new sweater she was knitting and I about the new book I was reading.

It was perfect. That moment, the two of us sharing something we were both passionate about those were the things I had to remember.

I was focusing on all the good times we had and all the situations where she helped me out. Like the time she let me stay at her house because my nightmares were getting worse. Or that fact that she would come to wake me up every time I screamed in my sleep.

That was true friendship, being there in my worst moments and holding me up. I hadn't been such a great friend in the ten years after the attack but I did try.

It was all I could do but that didn't mean I didn't appreciate her support and her kindness, I was just so scared. Even when I thought I overcame that fear, deep down I was still terrified.

Avice was always the kind of friend who would be there for you no matter what, so I tried to focus on that as well - on the certainty that she has my back.

Focusing on all the positive emotions emanating from my other friends, I remembered how they were there for me, to share the good times as well as bad. Even when I pushed them away, they stayed by my side helping shoulder my burden.

The trust of the villagers in our ability to defend them was also another wave of good energy coming my way. So I tried to gather all that strength in me and refocus its power.

As I stood there, near the school, with the whole surrounding area covered with ravens, I could feel a shift in me and the world around me.

It was possible for me to feel the flow of energy, of warm and kind energy, go through my whole body and I did my best to focus it on my palms.

I was able to control this beam of light and love like it was always a part of me, only a part I couldn't reach before. At the moment the change was happening in me the ravens became disturbed.

They seemed angry. Their anger was one of evil, of death.

The moment they saw light shining in me and through me, they started attacking. Their attacks were both vicious and well planned.

There were huge groups of them attacking as one; they were charging everyone.

They were hurting my friends.

I couldn't see anything, but I could hear the screams and the awful sound of flesh being torn.

There were also the sounds of weapons being drawn, but there were just too many of them, my friends didn't have a chance.

I had to do something with my new-found power, and do it quickly, or they would all be dead very soon.

I stopped panicking by focusing on my love for them and my wish to help them. As I did that there a pleasant wind came to me and gave me even more power and confidence.

I spread my arms and let the power of the wind and the energy inside me increase. As I did that my hair started flying around wildly and my whole body seemed to buzz with newfound energy and strength.

Suddenly, I started floating in the air, carried by the wind, and I had just the perfect perspective to help out my friends.

I started shooting out beams of light from my hands and whenever one of them touched the demonized bird it turned back to its normal, bird self, and flew away.

It was very exhausting keeping that much energy in my body, but I knew that this was the only way to help my friends, so I kept going.

We started being able to see the blue skies and that was a very good sign since I was getting very tired and I wasn't sure how much power I still had in me.

Finally, all the demons were gone.

Imagine this.

You're drowning in your own fear. Anxiety builds up like a small electrifying spark and slowly spreads throughout your body. Goosebumps prickle your skin as your mind races, looking for a place to run and hide. But as your feet hit the pavement, you see it.

Black as death and eyes like the devil. The raven follows you wherever you go.

Sane minds having insane thoughts is a dangerous game.

But what can you do when hell has come to play?
