As the two sat outside, ignoring one another, they immediately heard a scream from the other side of the town. They both rushed to the scene as Tannen and the others stayed behind.

“What could this be about?” Asked Alistor.

"I don't know, but who cares. Let's check this out then."

     They both arrive at the scene. A few pawns are in sight, scaring off a villager.

“Those are the things that attacked me.” Whispered Alistor.

     Maigashi gives them a strange look.

"They're not what you see around every day. Let's take them!"  

     Their mood shifted back up as they charged right in. More pawns immediately teleport down to the scene, outnumbering them.

“You got to be kidding me. That’s not fair.” Murmured Maigashi.”

     They both standoff against a group of Baronia pawns. The fight begins with the Pawns rushing in with their sharp-tipped spears. The two cuts down the first one with a combined team effort. Machine parts fly everywhere as the rest continue to advance to them.

“Here they come!”

     Alistor prepares to engage the grunts in battle while Maigashi gets in position.

“I need some space first.”

    Alistor looked back at Maigashi, readying his bow.

"How should we do this, then?"

    Maigashi quickly passes his only blade to Alistor.

“Wait! I never dual wielded before.”  

 “Just do something. Cover me a bit so I can get a clear shot.”

      They both agreed to the plan as the battle commenced. Tannen goes to check on them both outside and finds them gone. He rushes back inside to tell everyone.

"Where could they be?" Sairori wondered.

     Alistor holds off two pawns with his double blades. Maigashi takes his time readying his arrows.

"Anytime would be good now. I won't be able to hold these grunts much longer.

     Maigashi finds some arrows and gets them ready. Alistor takes some hits.

 “Out of the way.” Yelled Maigashi as he fired his first shot at the pawns.

    An electrical blast brings three pawns to the ground.

"Bullseye!"

      The two continue to work together as a team to take them down. The pawns draw out their weapons to attack them.

"We're still outnumbered. Got any other ideas?" Alistor asked.

     He started to step back, considering a retreat as the pawns surrounded them within seconds. The two were now in a tight situation. A grunt suddenly hits them both, and they get knocked to the floor. The two quickly took that one out by struggling, quickly hitting it by surprise.

“We’ll make it out one way or another.” Maigashi panted.

     Meanwhile, Tannen and the others continue to search for them.

"Those two better be okay, hopefully."

     Auroa quickly detects some action from a distance.

"Hey, there might be something going on that way." He pointed.

      They head in that direction quickly. Alistor and Maigashi get knocked down again by the other pawns.

. "Well, we've done the best we can. It's been nice knowing you."

     Believing it was the very end as they lay exhausted. The pawns laugh and begin giving a mocking expression. Before proceeding further, a cutting wind throws them back. The sound of the whip cracks shattering a couple grunts.

“You guys alright?” Auroa asked.

“About time…”

     Tannen tosses his reaper card to hit one close to them. The card split that pawn in half as more parts flew while Sairori slashed through two more grunts from behind.

 "We're just in time," Sairori said. "What are these things?"

     A few pawns notice Sairori and try charging toward him. The approaching grunts are immediately surprised by Katty emerging under the leaves.

"You won't catch us off, guard." Katty pestered.

     He knocks them to the other side, causing some to get dismantled. Maigashi grinned back at Auroa.

 “So you’re still not rusty with your wind attacks.”

     Auroa just smiled back at them in relief that they were both okay. Sairori and the others watch Katty and Tannen finish off the rest quickly.

     “So you both learned to work together. You may join us for dinner later.” Tannen approved.

     Tannen was in a jolly mood as he patted both their shoulders. When they were about to leave, a massive figure arrived to confront them all.

     "Hahaha! Congratulations on defeating them again. So this is your whole team?"

     The others draw their attention to the King figure standing above them all.

“Who are you?” Asked Tannen.

“What do you want with us?” Mentioned Sairori.

     The King figure starts to introduce himself.

"I am the Baronia King. Ruler of the Baronia Empire. We are here to destroy your precious little kingdom before, hahaha.

     An old man appears beside the King, dressed in a long robe. He has the appearance of a mechanical bishop.

“You can call me Dr. Page, chief advisor of the Baronia Empire.”

“Baronia Empire? Muttered Sairori.

The Baronia King glances at them with a smile taking amusement.

     "You win this time, but the next time you all won't be so lucky. Farewell, fools!"

The Baronia King Teleports away with Dr. Page.

“So now we know who we’re up against.” Sairori nodded.

     Tannen and Sairori started getting into a conversation.

"From this point, we'll have to be cautious about whatever we do. Now that we know the enemy we're dealing with."

"We should be getting back now, and I'll explain everything to you about them since I know and have heard about them before," Sairori explained.

     As Alistor and the rest head back, the King is overjoyed and confident about their opponents.

"Hahaha, now that we know what we're up against, we can know what to do next time."

      The doctor sits down and calls in the Knight pieces to come in. The King finishes his speech again before retiring to the meeting room with Dr. Page.

"We are back, and we're better than ever."

     The Baronia King enters the next room to see all the headpieces waiting in their chairs around a rectangular table. They begin their discussion about their plans.
